Data Scientist participants complete three rotations across Data & Analytics-focused teams, gaining exposure to different domains, tools, and business challenges while increasing ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time.\nIn this program, you will:\nDevelop and apply machine learning models and advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems\n\nWork with large and complex data setsto identifypatterns, trends, and opportunities\n\nDesign experiments, build predictive and prescriptive models, and support model validation efforts\n\nTranslate business problems into analytical approaches and deliver solutions from concept to implementation\n\nPartner with data, engineering, and business teams to drive data-informed decision-making\n\nCommunicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences\n\nTake ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact outcomes\n\nCollaborate across teams, share insights, and influence strategic decisions\n\nBuild a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers\n\nMeet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship\n\nWhat it takes:\nMaster’s, MBA, or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or analytical field\n\nStrong interest in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics\n\nExperience with programming languages such as Python or SQL, and familiarity with analytical or modeling tools\n\nDemonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work\n\nStrong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment\n\nCumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred\n\nSpecial Factors:\nVanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.\n\nThis position will begin in 2027 and students graduating in December 2026,or Spring 2027 are encouraged to apply.\n\nOur Total Rewards package reflects our commitment to you and your family’s well-being - both for today and for the future.
