Software Development & Application Engineering\nDesign, develop, and maintain software applications based on defined business and technical requirements.\nTranslate product requirements and technical specifications into functional and scalable software solutions.\nWrite clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following established development standards.\nDevelop new features, enhancements, integrations, and technical solutions across assigned applications and platforms.\nParticipate in system design and technical architecture discussions.\nEnsure software solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and fit for purpose.\n2. Application Integration & Technical Development\nDevelop and maintain APIs, services, databases, and integrations required to support applications.\nIntegrate third-party systems, services, and technologies as required.\nCollaborate with AI Engineers and other technical teams to integrate AI capabilities into software applications where applicable.\nEvaluate technical approaches and recommend appropriate solutions based on business requirements, scalability, maintainability, and cost.\nSupport application configuration, deployment, and release activities.\n3. Quality, Testing & Reliability\nConduct unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and technical validation of software solutions.\nCollaborate with Test Engineers and QA resources to identify, investigate, and resolve defects.\nAnalyze production issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.\nParticipate in code reviews and ensure compliance with coding, security, and development standards.\nMonitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.\nSupport the resolution of critical production issues within agreed timelines.\n4. Software Development Lifecycle & Delivery\nParticipate in requirements analysis, sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-release activities.\nProvide accurate estimates and communicate development progress, risks, dependencies, and potential delays.\nMaintain appropriate technical documentation for applications, components, integrations, and implementation decisions.\nFollow established version-control, branching, deployment, and release-management practices.\nContribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and engineering standards.\n5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation\nPartner with Product, AI, QA, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.\nProvide technical recommendations and identify opportunities to improve application functionality and user experience.\nParticipate in cross-functional strategic initiatives and special projects.\nSupport the development of internal products, tools, automation solutions, and technical capabilities that may subsequently be offered to third-party clients.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and development practices and recommend relevant improvements.\nLeverage automation and AI tools to improve development productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.\n6. General Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and may evolve based on the changing needs and priorities of the business. The incumbent is expected to consistently meet or exceed performance expectations, demonstrate sound professional judgment, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and standards.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.\n3+ years of professional experience in software development or a related discipline.\nStrong proficiency in one or more programming languages and relevant software development frameworks.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle, software architecture, databases, APIs, and version control.\nExperience developing and integrating REST APIs and third-party services.\nExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.\nExperience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, containerization, or DevOps practices is an advantage.\nExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.\nStrong understanding of software testing, debugging, security, and performance optimization.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver within agreed timelines.\nExperience working in a technology, pharmaceutical/biopharma, or high-growth organization is an advantage.\nProcess oriented.\nAbility to leverage automation and AI to improve software development and engineering
