Test Planning & Strategy\nDevelop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.\nReview requirements, specifications, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify potential quality risks and testing requirements.\nDetermine appropriate testing approaches, coverage, priorities, and resource requirements for assigned projects.\nEnsure testing activities are aligned with project timelines and release requirements.\nIdentify potential quality risks early in the development lifecycle and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.\n2. Functional & Technical Testing\nExecute functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and other applicable software testing activities.\nValidate application functionality against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.\nConduct testing across different environments, platforms, devices, and configurations as applicable.\nPerform API, database, and other technical testing where required.\nValidate software fixes and enhancements before release.\nConduct regression testing to ensure changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.\n3.Defect Management & Quality Assurance\nIdentify, document, classify, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.\nProvide clear and complete defect reports containing relevant steps, evidence, impact, and expected versus actual results.\nCollaborate with Software Engineers and other technical stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.\nPerform defect retesting and confirm successful resolution.\nMonitor recurring defects and identify trends requiring corrective or preventive action.\nEscalate critical quality issues and release risks in a timely manner.\n4.Test Automation & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts where appropriate.\nContribute to the development and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and processes.\nIdentify repetitive or manual testing activities that can be automated.\nSupport integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.\nEvaluate testing tools and technologies and recommend improvements to increase testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.\nLeverage automation and AI tools to improve testing productivity and effectiveness.\n5.Release Quality & Cross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Software Engineers, AI Engineers, Product, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.\nProvide quality and release-readiness assessments based on test results and identified risks.\nParticipate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, technical discussions, release planning, and post-release reviews.\nSupport production validation and investigation of quality issues affecting released applications.\nMaintain accurate test documentation, testing records, and quality reports.\nParticipate in cross-functional strategic initiatives and special projects involving software quality and process improvement.\n6.General Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and may evolve based on the changing needs and priorities of the business. The incumbent is expected to consistently meet or exceed performance expectations, demonstrate sound professional judgment, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and standards.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.\n3+ years of professional experience in software testing, quality assurance, test engineering, or a related discipline.\nStrong knowledge of software testing methodologies and software development lifecycle processes.\nExperience developing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.\nExperience with functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.\nExperience with test management and defect-tracking tools.\nKnowledge of API testing and database testing is preferred.\nExperience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent is an advantage.\nExperience with CI/CD and automated testing processes is an advantage.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAttention to detail and ability to identify quality risks.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and meet testing and release timelines.\nExperience working in a technology, pharmaceutical/biopharma, or high-growth organization is an advantage.\nProcess oriented.\nAbility to leverage automation and AI to improve testing efficiency and software
