The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude and enthusiastic personality as well as a demonstrated ability to work cohesively with staff and with other managers and supervisors. This position is responsible for providing direction, training, and development of employees and to uphold our company standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise all wrapping and packaging activities during 1st shift to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.\nOversees the production and storage of egg roll wrappers\nOversee that all the equipment in the wrapper room is clean and in proper working condition, and reports any issues so that they are taken care of in a timely fashion\nMaintain and ensure all areas of the wrapper room, work area and equipment are organized and clean at the end of the shift \nEnsure compliance with food safety standards, including GMPs, HACCP, and SQF\nExamine and inspect all items to ensure that quality specifications are upheld\nEnsure product is ready and packed for scheduled production times\nEnsure all finished products are counted and packed in a neat and organized way\nNotifies production management immediately when any sub-standard product quality is encountered\nPerform daily cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the shift\nEnsure a sense of urgency from all wrapping team members \nPromote and enforce a culture of safety and cleanliness on the floor\nAll other duties and responsibilities as assigned\nSupport continuous improvement efforts and offer feedback to improve processes and product flow.\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nCompetencies & Skill Requirements\nThis person must understand the science behind baked goods, and they need to know how to work commercial baking equipment. They may also have to scale recipes up or down, so they’ll need to know their baking math. \nThis position requires the ability to motivate and lead a team, along with strong time management and organizational skills. \n\nQualifications & Experience\n1-2 year’s experience in a supervisory or leadership role, required\nPrevious baking experience, and knowledge required\nBasic math skills. Must be able to add, multiply, count and verify numbers\nAttention to detail to ensure product quality and accurate documentation\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize work, and respond to real-time production needs\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nAbility to remain calm under pressure and solve problems quickly on the floor\nProficient in basic computer use (Excel, data entry systems, email)\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nAbility to train and coach new employees on GMP standards\nAble to read, write, and understand English\nWorking knowledge of ERP or production systems (e.g., SAP)\nExperience working on or around wrapper/packaging lines is strongly preferred\nWillingness to work 1st shift and occasional overtime as needed\nBilingual preferred\nWork Environment\nThis is a food manufacturing facility. The environment may vary from warm to wet, to cold, to freezing, depending where you are in the plant.
