This position is essential to each shift, contributing to automation uptime, and working collaboratively with Maintenance Leadership, Reliability teams, and PLC Engineering to help avoid recurring breakdowns.This role provides coaching & guidance to other Maintenance Technicians II & III.\nResponsibilities\nDiagnose and repair complex issues across automated systems including:\n\nConveyance (MDR, belt, sortation)\n\nASRS / shuttle systems\n\nPick modules, print & apply, scanners\n\nLead response to system-down or chronic fault conditions\n\nPerform advanced mechanical, electrical, and controls-related troubleshooting\n\nRestore equipment safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and service impact\n\nExecute and improve preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) activities\n\nIdentify failure trends and recommend corrective actions to Maintenance Leadership\n\nSupport root cause analysis (RCA) for repeat or high-impact failures\n\nEnsure PM work is completed to standard and documented accurately in the CMMS\n\nServe as technical escalation point for Maintenance TechII & III\n\nCoach and mentorMaintenance Technicians II & IIIon troubleshooting best practices\n\nSupport onboarding and skills development of new technicians\n\nModel strong safety, quality, and ownership behaviors on the floor\n\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nPartner with:\n\nPLC Engineers for controls-related issues and logic changes\n\nReliability / AssetAnalyston equipment performance and lifecycle improvements\n\nOperations during recovery, start-ups, and flow disruptions\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime, throughput, and safety\n\nProvide feedback on equipment design issues and maintainability concerns\n\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\nBachelor Degree preferred\n\n5 + years of maintenance experience in an automated distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment\n\nStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills\n\nProven experience working with automated material handling equipment\n\nAbility to read and interpret:\n\nElectrical schematics\n\nMechanical drawings\n\nOEM manuals\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-availability operation\n\nExperience with PLC-controlled systems (troubleshooting at I/O and fault level; no programming required)preferred\n\nCMMS experience (PM execution, work order documentation)\n\nExposure to reliability concepts (MTBF, MTTR, RCA)preferred\n\nTechnical certifications or trade school background (electrical, mechatronics, industrial maintenance)preferred\n\nSkills\nAdvanced troubleshooting and critical thinking\n\nStrong sense of urgency and ownership\n\nAbility to remain calm and methodical during system outages\n\nClear communication with both technical and non-technical partners\n\nSafety-first mindset in a highly automated environment\n\nPhysical & Work Requirements\nAbility to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends,OTand holidays as required\n\nAbility to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to standard maintenance limits\n\nComfortable working around automated and energized equipment in compliance with safety standards\n\nFreeToBe, Inclusion & Diversity\nAs a purpose-led, performance driven company, we strive to foster a culture of belonging based on respect, connection,opennessand authenticity.
