Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.\nConstruction Delivery Department\nThe Construction team is responsible for the entire process flow of delivering the physical data centers from shovel ready state through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, and management along the way. Construction implements and executes upon the work product developed by the Development & Engineering (D&E) team. The team also manages Vantage’s build partners to success through technical feedback and review and actively participates in review of schedule and budget. Many times, a role like this at other companies is purely oversight.\nOne thing that distinguishes Vantage is that our construction teams are given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process. When compared to external resources, our internal team can ensure the key stakeholders are engaged in the decision-making process to align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. This approach empowers each member of the team to drive high-impact decisions and even more impactful results.\nPosition Overview\nThis role will be based in Shackelford County, TX\nThe Construction Manager manages a team of project engineers, senior project engineers across one or more buildings. The construction manager will also drive success on new and ongoing data center projects. This position will cover all aspects of a construction project. Areas of expertise relate to RFP preparation, buyout process, physical construction, MEP systems, commissioning, design regulation, stakeholder management, and project closeout. Regular collaboration are required with internal resources and design-build contractors.\nEssential Job Functions\nDemonstrate and promote the Vantage Values: Trust, Accountability, Respect and Agility \nLead and develop Vantage team members to include third-party project resources. \nLead overall project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management across all phases. \nOversee preconstruction, due diligence, and buyout activities, including contractor selection and scope alignment. \nLead coordination across internal stakeholders, design teams, trade partners, and Operations to ensure alignment with design intent, budget, and long-term facility operations. \nMonitor project financials, including forecasting, monthly reporting, and EAC tracking, in coordination with project controls and CCF teams. \nLead contractor billing and pay application processes, ensuring accuracy, tracking progress against completion, and identifying improvement opportunities. \nOversee construction execution, including job walks, safety participation, progress tracking, and coordination of site activities. \nEnsure adherence to safety programs, quality standards (QA/QC), and compliance with BOD, specifications, codes, and lease requirements. \nLead startup, commissioning, and closeout activities, including schedule management, system validation (e.g., RNI, IST, RFS), and facility turnover to Operations. \nProactively identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks, resolving issues and conflicts as needed. \nMaintain visibility into all construction site activities, ensuring progress, safety, and quality standards are consistently met across projects. \nDrive customer engagement, ensuring requirements are captured, integrated into design, and delivered throughout the project lifecycle. \nEnsure 'lessons learned' are held and placed in the feedback loop to drive continuous improvement \nPerform other duties as assigned \nTravel required is expected to be 10-30% but may increase over time as the business evolve \nJob Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, or similar field, or equivalent experience \n5+ years of experience as a project engineer in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity required; 7+ years preferred. \nExperience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and/or MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a requirement \nComplex and technical construction experience is required \nData Center experience is preferred \nSkills\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) \nWorking understanding of project scheduling concepts and tools (MS Project or P6) \nBasic leadership capabilities, including supporting team members and contributing to a positive team environment. \nStrong working knowledge of critical power and cooling infrastructure systems. \nProficiency in data center design and familiarity with North American construction markets preferred. \nFamiliarity with applicable building codes, fire ordinances, and regulatory requirements. \nStrong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders. \nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation standards. \nAbility to multitask, prioritize, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. \nProblem solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. \nHigh level of integrity and professionalism. \nPhysical Demands and Special Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
