This role performs maintenance, conducts facility inspections, supports customer requests, coordinates service providers, and helps maintain the operational readiness of assigned buildings and customer-facing spaces.\nWorking under the direction of the Facility Manager and alongside other Facility Technicians, the Facility Technician Level II performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities for common areas, office spaces, exterior grounds, building systems, and customer support areas. This individual assists in coordinating maintenance activities, supports vendor work execution, identifies facility issues, and helps facilitate corrective actions to maintain a safe, reliable, and professional environment.\nThis role requires an understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, vendor coordination, customer support, and facility operations, along with the ability to safely execute maintenance and repair activities without disrupting customer operations. If you enjoy performing hands-on maintenance, solving facility-related challenges, supporting customer needs, and contributing to the operation of critical building infrastructure within a mission-critical data center environment, we want to hear from you.\nEssential Job Functions\nWork under moderate supervision, both independently and within a team environment.\n\nPerform facility maintenance, inspections, and repair activities across assigned buildings and campus infrastructure.\n\nAssist with managing maintenance tasks, minor projects, and facility improvement initiatives.\n\nRespond to operational issues, safety concerns, and emergency situations while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.\n\nRecommend improvements to maintenance processes and facility operations.\n\nCoordinate activities with vendors and service providers while ensuring work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards.\n\nFrequently interact with customers, contractors, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.\n\nSupport operational readiness, customer satisfaction, and facility performance objectives.\n\nPromote a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, and customer service.\n\nDuties\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and facility infrastructure.\n\nConduct facility inspections of common areas, office spaces, customer-facing areas, exterior grounds, and support spaces.\n\nIdentify maintenance deficiencies, safety concerns, and facility issues and initiate corrective actions.\n\nSupport customer requests, move-ins, expansions, equipment installations, and other facility-related activities.\n\nCoordinate and monitor vendor activities to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with site requirements.\n\nExecute work orders and maintenance activities through the CMMS platform.\n\nAssist with warranty repairs, facility improvement projects, and operational support activities.\n\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation.\n\nAssist with developing facility procedures, inspection checklists, and maintenance programs.\n\nSupport emergency response activities involving building systems and facility infrastructure.\n\nParticipate in operational readiness inspections and housekeeping initiatives.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and customer service.\n\nAdditional duties as assigned by Management.\n\nJob Requirements\nMinimum 2 years, 3+ years preferred,experience in facilities maintenance, commercial building operations, industrial maintenance, missioncritical facilities, data centers, or related environments.\n\nWorking knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, building automation systems, and general building infrastructure.\n\nData center or missioncritical environment experience preferred.\n\nTechnical certification, trade certification, or equivalent work experience preferred.\n\nExperience performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities.\n\nAbility to read and interpret building drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.\n\nWorking knowledge of facility maintenance best practices and safety requirements.\n\nExperience coordinating with vendors and service providers.\n\nFamiliarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance management processes.\n\nTroubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\n\nOrganizational and communication skills.\n\nAbility to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.\n\nMust successfully complete a background check.\n\nReliable transportation for reporting to work during normal operations and emergencies.\n\nTravel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes.\n\nPhysical activities and requirements \nClimbing. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.\n\nGrasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.\n\nRepetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.\n\nHeavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.\n\nRaised access floor work. Must be able to maneuver and work underneath and around raised access floor of varying heights\n\nPhysical Working Conditions\nThe position is subject to extreme cold and extreme heat. Activities occur inside and outside.\n\nThe position is subject to noise such as vibration and high volume of air movement\n\nThe position is subject to hazards.
