This is an extremely technical role requiring a expert understanding of networking technologies and concepts. This position is accountable for both Operational Excellence and Customer Service. A key responsibility of this position is leading and driving the network activities associated with large scale projects.\nEssential Job Functions\nBAU network support during APAC hours\n\nLeading large scale network migrations in APAC\n\nDrive improvements to processes and procedures\n\nDuties\nCollaborate to design, build, and support all networks required for Vantage Corporate, Security Management Systems, Building Management Systems, and other needs as defined by the business, including creation/updating of all supporting documentation\n\nCreate, implement, and support standard processes and procedures to support Service Level Agreements to both Vantage business partners and Vantage customers for network uptime, reliability, service, and performance\n\nAssist in the specification, ordering, purchasing, asset-tracking, and inventory of network-related equipment/supplies/software\n\nMaintain the network infrastructure globally, highlighting and recording issues identified, creating action plans to resolve\n\nUtilize necessary tools to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely manner\n\nChallenge, report and escalate as necessary to resolve any issues affecting the availability, security or integrity of the network infrastructure\n\nWork closely with cybersecurity to ensure we are following policies and best practices to secure and harden the network\n\nActively research and investigate new tools/technologies to improve the efficiency of the team\n\nLead and own large-scale projects by creating effective project plans, leverage internal tools (JIRA etc) to provide accurate and timely updates to stakeholders\n\nFunctions of this position are to be performed in a company-designated office or field location\n\nUnderstand and comply with the company’s Acceptable Use Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable\n\nJob Requirements\n12+ years of progressive network engineering experience with multi-site global networks supporting highly transactional and highly sensitive data applications\n\nDemonstratable CCNP/JNCIP/CCIE/JNCIE level or higher experience required\n\nData Center experience is required\n\nProficiency with Fortinet would be highly advantageous, but not essential\n\nSkilled at an expert level troubleshooting LANs (layer 2 networks), fault finding and isolation, understanding of technologies such as Spanning Tree, Port channels, Stacking etc\n\nStrong experience with layer 3 routing, working with ISP’s to resolve issues such as latency and packet loss\n\nStrong experience with firewalls, polices, VPN’s, general concepts etc, understanding of advanced inspection and filtering techniques\n\nExperience working on network migrations, creating project plans, managing multiple projects and delivering according to deadlines\n\nProficiency in network design and architecture\n\nNice to have: Microsoft Certification: Azure Network Engineering Associates;
