Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.\nConstruction Delivery Department\nThe Construction team is responsible for the entire process flow of delivering the physical data centers from shovel ready state through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, and management along the way. Construction implements and executes upon the work product developed by the Development & Engineering (D&E) team. The team also manages Vantage’s build partners to success through technical feedback and review and actively participates in review of schedule and budget. Many times, a role like this at other companies is purely oversight.\nOne thing that distinguishes Vantage is that our construction teams are given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process. When compared to external resources, our internal team can ensure the key stakeholders are engaged in the decision-making process to align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. This approach empowers each member of the team to drive high-impact decisions and even more impactful results.\nPosition Overview\nThis position will be on site at our Shackelford County, TX location.\nThe Senior Project Engineer of Construction can manage multiple project scopes within a project. The senior project engineer will also drive core project coordination across several teams throughout the construction process. Major focus for this role will include submittal/RFI workflow management, change order management, design coordination, project closeout management, payment application reviews, participation in commissioning, and coordination of construction activities with fill-time Operations staff. Regular collaboration are required with internal resources and design-build contractors.\nEssential Job Functions\nDemonstrate and promote the Vantage Values: Trust, Accountability, Respect and Agility \nLead and develop Vantage team members to include third-party project resources. \nLead project administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting documentation for assigned scopes, design and implementation. \nAssist the construction team with project schedule and budget reporting, monthly forecasting, EAC reporting, and contractor billing support, including pay application review and coordination with project controls and CCF. \nLead procurement tracking, material timeline management, OFCI/CFCI coordination, and preconstruction/buyout activities for assigned projects. \nLead startup and commissioning activities, including team coordination, commissioning schedule management, CxAlloy administration, and readiness for customer milestones such as RNI, IST, and RFS. \nSupport the Vantage safety program through HRA site walks, safety reporting, and participation in project-wide safety reviews with internal and external stakeholders. \nManage design teams/contractors and support QA/QC of work products to ensure successful scope execution and compliance with applicable project design requirements. \nLead contract, PO, and billing administration by reviewing pay applications, tracking billing progress, coordinating with CCF, and identifying process improvement opportunities. \nFacilitate page-turn design reviews and coordinate internal stakeholder involvement. \nCollect and share ‘lessons learned’ in the feedback loop to drive continuous improvement \nPerform other duties as assigned \nTravel required is expected to be 10-30% but may increase over time as the business evolve \nJob Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, or similar field, or equivalent experience \n3+ years of experience as a project engineer in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity required; 5 years preferred. \nExperience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and/or MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a requirement \nComplex and technical construction experience is required \nData Center experience is preferred \nSkills\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) \nWorking understanding of project scheduling concepts and tools (MS Project or P6) \nStrong working knowledge of critical power and cooling infrastructure systems. \nProficiency in data center design and familiarity with North American construction markets preferred. \nFamiliarity with applicable building codes, fire ordinances, and regulatory requirements. \nStrong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders. \nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation standards. \nAbility to multitask, prioritize, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. \nProblem solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. \nHigh level of integrity and professionalism. \nPhysical Demands and Special Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
