Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.\nPosition Overview\nThis role will be based in Sparks, Nevada & Pheonix, Arizona, following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office and 2 days flexible).\nThe Technical Project Manager, Site Deploymentis responsible for managing the seamless transition of new data centers to Site Operations teams and ensuring Operational Readiness at Site Turnover from Construction. Requirements for this position include a strong understanding of data center facility operations, best practices, and site critical systems, combined with the ability to plan, track, and deliver multiple concurrent deployment projects on time and within defined operational quality standards.\nThis position is highly cross-functional, interfacing with peer teams in Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Business Operations, and Site Operations, requiring engagement at multiple levels of management throughout the company. This role demands both project management skilland technical acumen, as responsibilities include technical document reviews (e.g., Test and Balance (TAB) reports, commissioning documentation), verification of system performance, and ensuring operational standards are met prior to turnover.\nThis role is open on a rolling basis, and we review applications as they come in. There’s no set deadline, but if you’re interested, we encourage you to apply soon-our hiring needs can shift, and we welcome applications at any time while the opportunity is available.\nEssential Job Functions\nAct as a key point of contact coordinating Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Business Operations, and Site Operations teams to seamlessly transition new data centers to Site Operations.\n\nDevelop and manage detailed deployment project schedules, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation plans for site readiness activities.\n\nPerform technical reviews of commissioning documentation, TAB reports, and other turnover deliverables to validate operational performance and compliance with design intent.\n\nManage the recruitment, staffing, onboarding, and training of new Operations teams at greenfield sites, contributing to the effective operational launch of these locations.\n\nEnsure complete program-level Operations protocols, procedures, and standards are in place for newly built facilities to achieve Operational Readiness.\n\nEnsure quality of Commissioning and Facility Acceptance necessary to deliver a technically sound facility to Site Operations.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nMaintain communication and collaborate with stakeholders during all phases of a new data center build.\n\nManage schedules and facilitate cross-team engagement keeping pace with Construction delivery dates.\n\nTrack project deliverables against defined timelines and escalate risks/issues with recommended mitigation strategies.\n\nEnsure timely completion of Ops Site Deployment quality control checklists and Site Start-Up processes.\n\nCompile Procedures (MOP, SOP, EOP Templates) for Site Start Up across all Sites in deployment and adapt MOP, SOP, EOP templates to Site Specifics.\n\nEnsure the readiness of Operations Support spaces including Tool shop, Critical Spares storage spaces.\n\nEnsure the site is safe to operate with Safety Protocols, Safety Equipment, and Signage in place.\n\nEnsure Billing System Readiness and cross-functional contributions are fully coordinated.\n\nEnsure Asset Management Systems are in place and Site Equipment is fully accounted for including Warranty and Spare Parts information.\n\nEnsure CMMS is fully populated with equipment data and maintenance scheduling plans.\n\nEnsure the Site Security Systems are fully deployed at Site Turnover.\n\nEnsure Site Operators are fully trained and ready to operate and maintain critical systems.\n\nEnsure Permits, Licenses, Agreements are in place to facilitate Operations.\n\nEnsure 3rd party maintenance suppliers and contract agreements are set-upprior to Site Turnover.\n\nSupport site mobilization includingprocuring spares, tools, and consumables.\n\nLead formal technical reviewof O&M manuals, as-built& record drawings, permits, certificates, warranty documents, and commissioning reports prior to turnover.\n\nPerform site walks and site turnover walks to ensure Operational Readiness requirements are met.\n\nShare lessons learned that have been captured for consideration/mitigation in future builds.\n\nCoordinate and facilitate the formal transfer of site responsibility from Construction to Operations.\n\nJob Requirements\n3+ years of combined experience in data center or mission-critical project management and technical operations.\n\nExperience managing complex, cross-functional projects with defined schedules, budgets, and technical acceptance criteria.\n\n2+ years of experience in a technicalrole in Critical Facilities Operations or Maintenance Operations with exposure to mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, OR\n\n2+ years of experience in industrial Construction or Commissioning in a technical capacity, OR\n\n2+ years of Project Management experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.\n\nProficiency in interpreting and reviewing technical documents such as commissioning reports, TAB reports, electrical and mechanical drawings, and equipment submittals.\n\nExcellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to define these areas for other teams and team members.\n\nAbility to create teams from various departments and work in a high-level collaborative environment while promoting a teamwork mentality.\n\nAbility to initiate, drive, and deliver projects, and communicate plans and findings to internal customers and stakeholders.\n\nProject Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.\n\nAbility to travel up to 10% of total work time, including internationally in North America.\n\nPhysical Demands and Special Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
