Technicians work extensively with OEM and aftermarket components and may perform modifications involving suspension, braking, fuel and EVAP, cooling, air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, interior, and exterior vehicle systems.\nRequirements\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nThe essential functions listed below represent the primary duties of the position. Duties may vary based on assignment and business needs.?\nFollow detailed work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and standard operating procedures to complete production and vehicle conversion tasks accurately and efficiently. \nDisassemble, modify, install, and reassemble OEM and aftermarket vehicle components as required throughout the conversion process. \nPerform modifications and installations involving various vehicle systems, including suspension, braking, fuel and EVAP, cooling, air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, interior, and exterior systems. \nUse hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, fixtures, and other production equipment safely and effectively. \nFollow applicable factory torque specifications, engineering requirements, and approved installation procedures. \nInspect completed work and components for proper fit, alignment, workmanship, appearance, and function. \nIdentify and immediately communicate quality, safety, fit, function, material, or installation concerns to the appropriate supervisor or department. \nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following required PPE, safety, and 5S procedures. \nMeet established production, quality, safety, and takt-time requirements. \nParticipate in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement activities. \nPerform other related production duties as assigned based on department and business needs. \nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent \nStrong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle components and systems \nAbility to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures \nStrong communication?and teamwork skills? \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems. \nExperience with vehicle modification, assembly, or manufacturing environments. \nExperience in wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions or automotive aftermarket work. \nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or production environments. \nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nAbility to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures? \nStrong attention to detail and quality standards? \nAbility to work independently and in a team environment? \nEffective communication and problem-solving skills? \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods \nAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds \nAbility to work safely around machinery, tools, and manufacturing equipment \nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWork is performed in an environment that may include exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving mechanical parts, noise, fumes, or varying temperatures, depending on the role.
