Clinical Psychologist w/bonus - 5359

We are seeking a full time Clinical Psychologist to care for patients in a clinic at Maxwell Air Force Base - Montgomery, AL

Core Duties:

• The Psychologist will practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and facility privileges.
• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
• The Psychologist will provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
• Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
• Will perform walk-in duties on a rotational schedule.
• Will be required to perform psychological testing and necessary testing results.
• The Psychologist will provide training to junior providers/enlisted upon request.
• Seeking to improve the clinic by contributing to innovation and is expected to see evidence-based training/certificates for application of most up to date treatment modalities.

Work Schedule:

Normal schedule is Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:30am and 4:30pm, including a half-hour lunch break.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited psychology program with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.

Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force.

Experience: Minimum of 2-years of recent full-time experience as a licensed clinical psychologist in the last 3-years in the evaluation and treatment of adult patients mental and emotional disorders.

License: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist from any state.

Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Base salary: $70.00 - $75.00 /hr depending on experience; or 1099 rate: $105/hr
