Our Mission Architecture & Systems Engineering (MASE) team provides the technical framework that enables disciplined system development across the entire program lifecycle-from concept through design, integration, verification, and operations.\nWe are seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to helpestablishandmaintainthe systems engineering foundation that supports multiple complex development programs. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is highly organized, technically curious, and motivated to learn systems engineering while contributing to mission-critical programs.\nYou willbe responsible foradministering andmaintainingsystems engineering artifacts, ensuring technical consistency across engineering teams, and helping enforcedesignprocesses, standards, and best practices. Working closely with systems engineers and technical leads across multiple disciplines, you will help ensure that requirements, models, design artifacts, verification evidence, and technical decisionsremainorganized, traceable, and aligned throughout the system lifecycle.\nThis is an excellent opportunity to develop broad exposure to spacecraft, ground systems, and mission operations while buildinga strong foundationin modern systems engineering practices.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\n\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, orrelatedtechnical discipline.\n\n1-3 years of professional engineering experience or relevant internship/co-op experience.\n\nFundamental understanding of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.\n\nFamiliarity with requirements management concepts, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and traceability.\n\nExposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts andSysML.\n\nExperience using engineering documentation, configuration-controlled repositories, or technical data management tools through academic or professional projects.\n\nStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.\n\nAbility to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines whilemaintainingtechnical accuracy and data consistency.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment with multiple concurrent development efforts.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS Next, Jama Connect,Polarion, or similar platforms.\n\nExperience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler,Enterprise Architect,MagicDraw, or equivalentSysMLmodeling environments.\n\nFamiliarity and exposure to the Ansys engineering tool suite, including STK.\n\nFamiliarity with configuration management and engineering change processes.\n\nUnderstanding ofrequirements verification and validation planning.\n\nExperience organizing technical documentation andmaintainingengineering baselines.\n\nFamiliarity with digital engineering methodologies and lifecycle traceabilityfrominitialconcept design to verification and validation.\n\nExposure to spacecraft, satellite payloads, ground systems, mission operations, or other complex hardware/software systems.\n\nExperience using Git, Jira, Confluence, or similar engineering collaboration tools.\n\nWorking knowledge of systems engineering standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288,INCOSE systems engineering practices, or the NASA Systems Engineering Handbook.\n\nDemonstrated ability to learn new engineering tools and processes quickly while supporting multiple technical teams.\n\nSuccessful candidates are highly organized, take ownership of their work, communicate clearly, and enjoy enabling engineering teams to execute efficiently. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.
