Employment for cleared roles is contingent upon verification of clearance status.\n\nExport Control/ITAR: Certain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).\nPlease review the job details below.\nJob Description\nThis position requires active Secret Clearance from the United States Government.\nVantor is currently seeking a Direct Access Support Engineer for our Mission Operations Center in Longmont, CO.\nResponsibilities: \nSupport Operations through the arbitration and execution of requests from our International Defense and customers.\n\nPreserve the spacecraft and ground systems; ensure existing and potential satellite tasking requirements are met; deliver imagery and ancillary data to Vantor internal and external customers.\n\nSupport numerous internal departments, including Remote Systems, Direct Access Remote Sensing, Project Management, and the direct access account management and sales teams.\n\nMonitor satellite access windows to guarantee successful execution and ensure delivery of imagery and products within prescribed deadlines.\n\nFrontline incident management for direct access customers outside of standard business hours\n\nTroubleshoot Tier 1 and 2 issues in high-pressure situations\n\nUtilize and maintain monitoring tools by performing ongoing assessments of the efficiency/performance of these tools,\n\nWork alongside operations, sales, and customer facing teams on requirements and operational implementation,\n\nProvide input and guarantee accuracy of operations, efficiency, and transition documentation and procedures,\n\nEffectively communicate with team members, cross-departmental staff, and customers regarding status, milestones, issues, and resolution.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be a U.S. citizen and possess a current/active Secret security clearance\n\nAbility to accommodate 24/7 rotational shift work\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a relevant field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.\n\nBackground in Windows & Unix/Linux environments\n\nFamiliarity with scripting languages, such as Python or Ruby\n\nMust possess/demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nGeospatial and GIS experience or familiarity with remote sensing applications\n\nAbility to understand system-level concepts and grasp details of the interaction between various components in the system\n\nProficiency with understanding and modifying XML and JSON\n\nAbility to provide support and guidance to customers during the implementation of their system through the life cycle.\n\nExperience with aerospace and/or satellite ground systems\n\nAbility to support time-sensitive requirements\n\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment\n\nAbility to multi-task, results-driven, strong sense of ownership and urgency\n\nAbility to interact multilingually\n\nPay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings.
