This role will be performed at the customer facility located in Springfield, Virginia. As a Vantor team member, you will have the opportunity to closely support our mission partners, and your work will have direct mission impact. In this role, you will work closely with data scientists, geospatial analysts, all-source analysts and our cybersecurity team to create and maintain a diverse range of applications served out to a targeted user-base.\nAbout Us:\nWe are a multi-disciplinary team focused on using our expertise to build and maintain focused software applications backed by a self-managed, on-prem private cloud and big data stack, housing over 15 petabytes of data\nOur background in mission support and data science expertise serve as a catalyst to solve unique and challenging technical problems in support of special operations analysts and their on-going activities.\nRapid development and frequent, iterative feedback are core to our delivery approach, anchored by a need to work quickly in support of our mission customers\nWhat You’ll Be Doing: Developing web applications for real-time query and analysis of our petabyte-scale data store, creating distributed analytics purpose-built to support our mission partners, and helping to transition data science workflows into user friendly applications for analysts.\nYour Career: We offer everyone the opportunity to define their own career trajectory. A Master's degree may count as an additional 2 years of experience.).\n5 years demonstrated experience with programming, design, and development.\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle\nIn-depth knowledge in Python, Java, or similar programming language.\nWorking knowledge of containerization (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc).\nExperience with ORM software (Django, SQLAlchemy, Hibernate, etc)\nWorking knowledge of Linux operating systems (navigating the filesystem, common management commands, etc)\nUnderstanding of TCP/IP networking and working knowledge of remote system workflows (SSH, port forwarding, server/client architecture, etc)\nExposure to building and supporting solutions in a cloud like environment (such as OpenStack).\nWorking knowledge of agile software development practices and tools, such as GitLab\nMust be able to work full-time, on-site in Springfield, VA.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience using Python web frameworks (Django, FastAPI, etc)\nExperience with front-end development using React, Angular, or other JS framework.\nExperience utilizing an Elasticsearch cluster.\nExperience with Spark.\nExperience with Hadoop (HDFS, YARN)\nAPI Rest Framework development/maintenance.\nExperience with provision and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.\nStrong verbal, written, and organizational skills.\nPay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.
