The goal is practical: give people and AI a shared environment for training, planning, mission rehearsal, and operations.\nAs a Product Manager, you will own the product direction for this capability. You will turn customer and mission needs into a focused roadmap, align the product leads and engineering teams that contribute to it, and guide delivery of the first capabilities customers can use. This is an individual contributor role for someone who can operate comfortably across geospatial data, software platforms, simulation, and mission workflows without needing to be the deepest technical expert in every area.\nWhat you will own \nYou will work in a cross-functional model within the Vantor Product organization. You will have product ownership for the Operational World Model scope, including its vision, priorities, roadmap, requirements, and customer value proposition. Engineering leaders own technical implementation and architecture; The Go To Market (GTM) organization leads opportunity and contract activities. You will align these groups and make product decisions within your scope through influence and clear tradeoffs.\nWork with the broader Product team to set and communicate the product vision, strategy, and 12-24 month roadmap for the Operational World Model.\nChoose and sequence the highest-value use cases, balancing customer impact, technical feasibility, delivery capacity, and business priorities.\nDefine product requirements for terrain and 3D content, dynamic world state, sensor modeling, simulation fidelity, interoperability, and real-time services.\nAlign Raptor, Forge, Operational Terrain, and Living Globe product leads around common requirements, shared platform capabilities, and clear ownership boundaries.\nRepresent the product with customers, executive leaders, industry partners, government stakeholders, GTM.\nYour primary priorities\n1 Establish a focused product strategy\nCreate a clear product narrative, target outcomes, decision framework, and roadmap that explain what the Operational World Model is, who it serves, and what the team will deliver first.\n2 Prioritize mission-relevant use cases\nWork with customers and internal stakeholders to focus on a small number of high-value workflows, such as mission rehearsal, AI development, digital engineering, operational planning, and multi-domain decision making.\n3 Turn the strategy into deliverable capabilities\nPartner with Engineering to write requirements, define MVP boundaries, resolve tradeoffs, and guide delivery of an initial capability that can be demonstrated and evaluated by real users.\n4 Build alignment across the Product portfolio\nIdentify where Raptor, Forge, Operational Terrain, and other product areas can share data, services, interfaces, and customer outcomes while protecting each product's distinct responsibilities.\n5 Support customer adoption and growth\nHelp shape demonstrations, proposals, partner discussions, and product positioning so market commitments remain aligned with the roadmap and delivered capabilities.\nWhat success looks like in the first 6-12 months\nFirst 90 days: complete a current-state assessment, stakeholder map, and customer/use-case review; publish a clear product narrative and initial prioritization criteria.\nBy 6 months: establish an agreed roadmap with the relevant product and engineering leaders, document the top use cases and MVP boundaries, and create an actionable requirements backlog.\nBy 12 months: deliver or validate an initial Operational World Model MVP through a customer-informed demonstration, pilot, or operational evaluation; capture the lessons and update the roadmap.\nThroughout the first year: improve alignment across Raptor, Forge, Operational Terrain, and GTM so stakeholders understand priorities, dependencies, risks, and decisions.\nMinimum qualifications\n7+ years of product management or equivalent product leadership experience, including ownership of complex software, data, or platform capabilities from strategy through delivery and adoption.\nExperience in at least one of these areas: geospatial intelligence, defense technology, modeling and simulation, autonomy, digital twins, ISR, robotics, or AI-enabled mission systems.\nDemonstrated ability to translate ambiguous operational or customer problems into product strategy, prioritized roadmaps, requirements, and measurable delivery outcomes.\nExperience leading through influence across Engineering, Business Development or Sales, Program Management, and customer or government stakeholders.\nTechnical fluency in modern software platforms, cloud-native architectures, APIs, data models, and data-driven product development; able to engage engineers in meaningful tradeoff discussions.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations, customer conversations, and clear product documentation.\nAbility to travel up to approximately 20-30% in support of customers, partners, and industry events.\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience with One World Terrain, geospatial production pipelines, 3D visualization, game engines, or modeling and simulation technologies.\nWorking knowledge of AI, autonomy, robotics, synthetic sensor modeling, digital engineering, or operational AI workflows.\nKnowledge of interoperability standards and defense simulation ecosystems, including DIS, HLA, OGC standards, or related technologies.\nExperience working with the U.S. Department of Defense, allied or international government organizations, or commercial organizations applying geospatial and operational technologies.\nExperience launching platform capabilities that serve multiple products, markets, or customer segments.\nSecurity and export control requirements \nThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET U.S. Government security clearance.\nCertain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. Person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).\nPay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range.
