Come be part of a mission, not just a job, where you can: Shape your own future, build the next big thing, and change the world.\nTo be eligible for this position, you must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee.\n\nExport Control/ITAR: Certain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).\nPlease review the job details below.\nResponsibilities\nPerform image analysis, radiometric characterization, and statistical evaluation of imaging system performance\nDevelop, maintain, and improve software tools and automated workflows supporting calibration and sensor assessment activities\nSupport calibration efforts throughout the lifecycle of imaging systems, including commissioning, validation, and operational sustainment\nAnalyze large imaging and measurement datasets to derive calibration parameters and assess sensor performance trends\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams to develop calibration methodologies and operational solutions\nDevelop scripts, applications, and data processing tools in Python and related technologies\nSupport cloud-based or distributed computing environments for data processing and analysis workflows\nPrepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders\nPresent technical findings to peers, management, customers, and scientific audiences as needed\nMinimum Qualifications\nU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, remote sensing, optical sciences, data science, computer science, or related technical field\nAdditional relevant experience may substitute for formal education\nExperience with software development and data analysis\nExperience in one or more of the following:\nremote sensing\nimage processing\nsensor characterization\nradiometric calibration\nstatistical analysis\nExperience working in Linux-based computing environments\nFamiliarity with software development best practices and version control tools\nAbility to support field or laboratory activities\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in a related technical discipline\nExperience with radiometric calibration techniques\nKnowledge of remote sensing systems\nExperience processing and analyzing large datasets\nExperience with cloud computing platforms and distributed processing workflows\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development workflows\nFamiliarity with GIS tools and geospatial data products\nExperience supporting field calibration or validation campaigns\nPay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range.
