Backed by leading global investors, our founding and management team comes with a stellar track record of successfully scaling projects and products to millions of smallholder land stewards at leading agri- and tech business.\nPosition: Software Engineer - Frontend\nAbout the Role:\nWe’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to lead the development of our digital Measurement, Reporting & Verification (dMRV) SaaS platform. This role is central to building intuitive, performant, and scalable interfaces that drive transparency, trust, and efficiency in carbon project execution. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to shape user experiences for carbon developers, field teams, and buyers.\nResponsibilities\nOwn architecture and implementation of frontend systems across Varaha’s dMRV platform.\n\nDevelop scalable, responsive, and modular interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.\n\nTranslate complex datasets and carbon methodologies into intuitive visual dashboards and workflows.\n\nIntegrate seamlessly with backend APIs (FastAPI/Django) and ensure a smooth data experience.\n\nImplement best practices in code structure, testing, state management, and UI performance.\n\nCollaborate across design and backend to iterate quickly and ship impactful features.\n\nSkills & Requirements:\n2+ years of frontend development experience in a fast-paced product environment.\n\nB.tech in Computer Science (CS) or a related technical field preferred.\n\nStrong proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and modern UI architectures.\n\nExperience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.).\n\nComfort working with RESTful APIs, authentication flows, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nFamiliarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., Recharts, D3.js) and component design systems.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and ownership mindset.\n\nBonus Points If You have:\nExperience with geospatial data or mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Leaflet).\n\nUnderstanding of climate tech, carbon markets, or sustainability-focused products.\n\nPrior experience in SaaS platforms, enterprise dashboards, or admin panels.\n\nExposure to backend systems and API schema design.\n\nWhat We Offer\nJoin a small, ambitious, and international team and enjoy the following benefits:\nWork at the intersection of technology, science, and climate action.\n\nContribute to high-impact solutions affecting millions of livelihoods and global carbon removal efforts.\n\nJoin a collaborative, mission-driven team backed by top climate investors.\n\nCompetitive compensation, flexible work, and the opportunity to shape a category-defining company.\n\nPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
