Come join our team!\nSummary: VES is looking for a Engineer, CNC Programmer to join our team in our Matamoros location. This person will work to design and direct engineering projects through the respective design team.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n Ability to read and interpret drawings, understand geometric tolerances, and comprehend engineering standards.\nKnowledge of machining processes on CNC lathes and CNC milling machines (multi-task lathes with live tooling / vertical and horizontal 5-axis machining centers).\nAnalysis of 3D-modeled parts to determine cutting tools and machining strategies.\nKnowledge of coordinate systems (machine zero points) and understanding of on-machine tool offsets to determine size and shape (tool offsets).\nUnderstanding of “G” and “M” code language; ability to interpret differences in program post-processing between different machines to be used.\nSelection of cutting tools based on raw material specifications and the shapes of parts to be machined (required radii, surfaces requiring fine finishes, cavities with tight tolerances, etc.).\nEvaluation of tool parameters (RPM, cutting speed, cutting depths) while considering the capabilities of the equipment on which they will be used, with the goal of maximizing tool efficiency while ensuring product quality.\nPreferred proficiency in CAM programming software (CreoMfg / MasterCam / GibsCam) as well as on-machine programming. Knowledge of 1:1 simulation software (Creo / MasterCam / Vericut) to ensure proper tool machining.\nDevelop standard tool lists for each machine, including descriptions of inserts or tools, diameters, exposure lengths, holders, and positions in the tool magazine.\nPerform post-processing of CNC control programs to ensure their correct execution and operation.\nEstablish controls to ensure the correct execution of programs on the machine.\nEnsure the quality of the machined product in accordance with specifications.\nAnalyze and improve productivity by optimizing cycle times for critical “bottleneck” operations in the manufacturing process.\nAnalyze and implement new products introduced into production areas.\nAssist and provide support in adjusting machines in the event of malfunctions, problems, or irregularities.\nAssist with the implementation and commissioning of new CNC equipment for the production area.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nProfessional career and/or relevant experience in the field.
