We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to take ownership of the mechanical design of next-generation imaging products. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from concept development through to production, collaborating closely with experts in electronics, systems, manufacturing, and product management. In this role you will be a key player within our R&D organization and will take an active part in shaping our future products and technical solutions.\nThe position is permanent, located in Espoo, Finland, and employment can begin immediately or as soon as a suitable candidate is found. We follow a hybrid working model, which involves regular on-site collaboration in Espoo.\nAs a Mechanical Engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with the development of our next-generation X-ray detectors - from requirements definition all the way to production handover and through to sustaining engineering. We are looking for an adaptive engineer who thrives at the center of complex cross-functional programs, collaborating closely with electronics, systems, manufacturing, and product teams, and effectively balancing performance, cost, schedule, and manufacturability.\nYour role will include:\nOwn the mechanical architecture and detailed design of our X-ray detectors.\nCreate and maintain CAD models, detailed drawings and BOMs in SolidWorks; manage mechanical documentation throughout release and ECO processes.\nPlan and execute V&V for mechanical subsystems.\nDesign manufacturing jigs & fixtures for in-house production teams.\nCollaborate closely with electronics, firmware, systems, manufacturing, product, and program management teams.\nWork closely with procurement team to identify, assess, and qualify suppliers.\nSupport prototyping, pilot builds and testing; iterate designs based on feedback from testing, manufacturing and customers.\nWhat we are looking for:\n5+ years of relevant mechanical design experience with a track record of bringing products from concept to production.
