The Network Engineer II works closely with Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Services, Site Support, Facilities, and external vendors to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable networking services.\nThis role is intended for experienced engineers who can operate independently while continuing to develop toward senior engineering and architecture responsibilities.\nJob Description\nEssential Functions\nNetwork Engineering and Operations\nSupport enterprise routing, switching, wireless, firewall, VPN, and WAN infrastructure.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and service disruptions.\n\nMonitor network performance, reliability, and capacity.\n\nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.\n\nMaintain operational support documentation and network diagrams.\n\nInfrastructure Projects\nImplement approved network designs and standards.\n\nDeploy network equipment and services.\n\nParticipate in infrastructure modernization initiatives.\n\nSupport site expansions, office moves, facility changes, and technology refreshes.\n\nCoordinate testing, validation, and transition to operational support.\n\nSecurity and Compliance\nSupport firewall administration and network security controls.\n\nImplement approved network access and segmentation requirements.\n\nAssist in cybersecurity investigations and remediation activities.\n\nMaintain compliance with corporate security policies and IT governance requirements.\n\nSupport audit and compliance requests.\n\nChange and Incident Management\nExecute changes through approved change-management processes.\n\nParticipate in incident response and major incident activities.\n\nDevelop implementation plans, rollback plans, and validation procedures.\n\nDocument actions, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.\n\nVendor and Carrier Management\nCoordinate with telecommunications and internet service providers.\n\nEscalate service issues and track corrective actions.\n\nSupport vendor onboarding, evaluations, and technical reviews.\n\nAssist with service migrations and carrier implementations.\n\nDocumentation and Knowledge Management\nCreate and maintain technical documentation.\n\nUpdate network diagrams and operational procedures.\n\nContribute toknowledge articles and support documentation.\n\nParticipate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing activities.\n\nTypical Education and Experience\nBachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) in related field\n3-6 years of enterprise networking experience.\nExperience supporting routing and switching environments.\nExperience supporting enterprise wireless networks.\nExperience supporting firewalls and VPN technologies.\nExperience implementing infrastructure projects.\nExperience troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues.\nPreferred Qualifications\nTechnical Certifications\nOne or more of the following:\nJuniper JNCIA\n\nCisco CCNA\n\nFortinet Certified Associate\n\nAruba Certified Associate\n\nITIL Foundation\n\nTechnical Experience\nExperience with:\nJuniper networking technologies\n\nJuniper Mist wireless\n\nAruba wireless\n\nFortinet firewalls\n\nPalo Alto firewalls\n\nAzure networking\n\nManufacturing environments\n\nGlobal enterprise
