Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.Job Description\nDuties may include:\nAssembles/processes product, parts and assemblies using hand tools, customized tooling, and/or semi-automated equipment.\nFollows written process/assembly documentation.\nInspects and tests parts, assemblies and product using precision measuring and testing equipment.\nAdjusts process within defined ranges based on measured results.\nAdheres to all safety requirements.\nMaintains a clean work area.\nMay conduct training of other production operators regarding on job skills and use of production/process documentation.\nMay perform basic preventative maintenance and assists in trouble shooting or preparing standard production equipment for maintenance.\nMay assist in maintaining and updating documented production/process instructions\nGathers and inputs production/process data.\nMaintains supply and flow of material through the area.\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS\nMinimum Required Skills and Knowledge\nProficient in multiple production skill areas.\nWorks under minimum supervision.\nStrong team skills and facilitation skills.\nWorking knowledge of material logistics.\nWorking knowledge of several business systems/concepts within the work area such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement.\nProblem solving and decision-making skills\nExperience Level with Business Tools\nProficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. \nExperience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.\nLEVEL DESCRIPTION\nSkill\nHas substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.\nJob Complexity\nWorks on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.\nSupervision\nNormally receives little instruction on day to- day work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments\nTypical Education and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n3 - 5 years of related experience\nENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nEnvironment and Physical Demands\nAbility to stand the duration of the shift\nAbility to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
