We work smart, not just hard.\nWork with a Global Team of A-Players\nCompetitive Compensation & Benefits\nA Dynamic, Digital-First Workplace\nU.S.-Facing Roles with Real Impact and Growth\nScope of Services\nThe following outlines the primary service areas and KPIs for the Intermediate Accountant I, as defined in our RCFO engagement framework:\nService / Area\nAccounts Receivable\nPrepare and submit monthly invoices to the Client's customers no later than the agreed deadline.\nEnsure that payments of the Client's customers are recorded at most 1 day from receipt of payment.\nConsistent monitoring and follow-through of payments, especially invoices more than 30 days past due.\nEnsure that reimbursable expenses are billed on time.\nAccounts Payable\nEnsure all payments are properly approved and substantiated with supporting documents.\nEnsure all Purchase Orders are duly approved by the Client.\nWeekly monitoring of AP Aging and prompt reporting of any inconsistencies or new transactions to the Client's Financial Controller and/or other client representatives.\nBank Reconciliation\nDaily checking of the bank statement and daily recording of bank transactions in the Client's accounting system.\nReconcile bank statement to book statement at most 2 days from the previous month-end.\nGeneral Accounts\nPropose adjusting journal entries as needed.\nExplore the government portal and access the tax filing of US and Australian entities.\nFinancial Statement Closing Process\nEnsure the completeness of accruals at most 3 days following the month to be closed.\nAid in preparing data to compute and present margin analysis per customer and per department/activity monthly.\nReview and reconcile balance sheet accounts on or before the 2nd Monday of the following month.\nPolicies & Procedures\nDesign and implement processes and procedures to improve the accounting processes of the Client and its related entities.\nOther Required Tasks\nOther related tasks that may be assigned by the reporting manager, SLT, Chief Financial Officer, and/or Financial Controller, which will be communicated to the Contractor.\nEssential Functions\n50% Core accounting execution - post and process journal entries, update AR and issue invoices, update AP and perform reconciliations, record accruals and prepayments, prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports, assist in financial statement preparation.\n25% Data management and close support - update financial data in databases, assist Senior Accountants in monthly/yearly closings, and assist with other accounting projects.\n15% Other accounting tasks - invoicing, billing, taxes, and compliance under the guidance of the Senior Accountant.\n10% Accounting process improvement tasks in coordination with the Senior Accountant and Fractional Controller.\nSkills & Qualifications\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting\nCPA License: Preferred but not required. CPA holders may be considered for accelerated advancement or higher rate banding.\nExperience: At least 5 years of accounting work experience\nAnalytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills\nMeticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills\nExcellent report writing, communication, and computer application skills\nAdvanced competency in Microsoft Office and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel\nCritical thinker with high proficiency in mathematical reasoning\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team\nFamiliarity with AI tools or process automation is a plus\nMust be amenable to working on a U.S. Pacific Time schedule (see Working Schedule section)\nAdditional Role Requirements\nClient Engagement I This role works directly with U.S.-based clients.
