We need people who are excited to solve problems and build the bank of the future!\nAbout the Role\nAs a Payment Operations Analyst, your task is to manage the primary payment channels for Varo Bank. A successful analyst will be responsible for the developing, implementing and managing scalable operational solutions to put Varo Bank in a position to succeed. Aspects of the payment operations function focusing on the timely and accurate record keeping of Varo Bank accounts through monitoring and reconciliation of monetary transaction activity and the identification and remediation of transaction-driven customer issues.\nHow you'll make an impact\nResponsible for monitoring file origination, receiving, processing and reconciling ACH activity\n\nEnsuring accurate and timely posting to internal accounts.\n\nValidate and balance ACH posting to the Federal Reserve account.\n\nResponsible for processing, screening and reconciling incoming and outgoing wire transfers.\n\nResponsible for processing and reconciling multiple vendor partners and correspondent banks.\n\nMonitoring cash balances and reconciling each day's cash position.\n\nProvides ad hoc reporting and analysis as required and monitor ACH risk\n\nProvides written/verbal notification to other financial institutions, third party service providers and internal departments for correction and reversal of entries.\n\nEstablishes and maintains files ensuring proper handling in order to limit bank liability.\n\nPartner with Varo teams ensuring customer accounts and associated processes impacted by system enhancements, upgrades, and/or updates are tested with the Core Banking system.\n\nAssists the Manager in onboarding, training, and mentoring teammates\n\nAssists in reviewing and approving ACH entries and Wire transfers\n\nReview and approve work completed by contractors and offshore teams\n\nProvides second level support to teammates and and other Varo teams in researching and answering questions\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nThe skills and experiences you'll bring\nFive+ (5) years of experience in the financial services industry either in payment processing (ACH/Wires/Card) and/or treasury management functions.\n\nExtensive knowledge and understanding of bank policy, procedure, products and regulations, compliance (Reg E), and payment types.\n\nMust be detail-oriented, with strong organizational/implementation skills.\n\nAbility to adapt to fast-pace and rapid changes.\n\nAbility to multi-task and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to details.\n\nAbility to work well independently.\n\nMust be able to resolve problems and improve processes quickly, effectively and professionally.\n\nMaintain the highest level of confidentiality with information relating to the bank, its customers, and employees\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a treasury operations environment .\n\nAAP/CTP certification a plus\n\nFor cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies.
