are looking for an experienced MySQL Database Administrator with 8+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and production support.\n\nThe ideal candidate should have strong expertise in managing large-scale MySQL databases in 24x7 production environments and be comfortable handling critical database operations and L2/L3 support.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL databases.\n\n- Manage database performance, capacity, availability, and reliability.\n\n- Perform SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.\n\n- Implement and manage MySQL Replication, High Availability, and failover solutions.\n\n- Handle database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and restoration activities.\n\n- Monitor database health, performance, storage, and resource utilization.\n\n- Troubleshoot database issues, incidents, and performance bottlenecks.\n\n- Perform database migrations, patching, upgrades, and version upgrades.\n\n- Manage database users, roles, privileges, security, and access controls.\n\n- Work closely with development and application teams to optimize SQL queries and database design.\n\n- Automate routine DBA activities using Shell/Python scripting.\n\n- Participate in production deployments and provide L2/L3 database support.\n\n- Maintain database documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.\n\n- Participate in 24x7 on-call/production support as required.\n\nRequired Skills :\n\n- 8+ years of strong hands-on MySQL DBA experience.\n\n- Strong expertise in MySQL 5.x/8.x.\n\n- Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.\n\n- Hands-on experience with MySQL Replication.\n\n- Strong experience in Backup & Recovery.\n\n- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.\n\n- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting.\n\n- Good understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts.\n\n- Experience with database migration, patching, and upgrades.\n\n- Strong understanding of indexing, partitioning, execution plans, and query optimization.\n\n- Experience with Shell scripting and automation.\n\nGood to Have :\n\n- AWS RDS / Aurora MySQL\n\n- AWS Cloud experience\n\n- MySQL Cluster / InnoDB Cluster / Group Replication\n\n- Percona\n\n- Kubernetes / containerized database environments\n\n- Terraform / Ansible\n\nImportant Hiring Criteria :\n\n- Immediate joiners only.\n\n- Candidates currently serving notice period or available after a notice period will not be considered.\n\n- Candidates on bench are not eligible.\n\n- Strong hands-on production MySQL DBA experience is mandatory.\n\n- Candidates should be comfortable with 24x7 production support/on-call
