The company plans to develop future habitats and systems for the Moon and Mars, dedicated space stations for government partners, and other crewed systems that will unlock the expanding long-term space economy.\nVast is looking for an Atlassian Technical Product Manager, reporting to theSenior Manager of Information Systems, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of human-rated space stations.\nThis will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location. \nResponsibilities: \nAdminister and maintain Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management), optimizing backend performance and troubleshooting server-related issues.\nImplement best practices for platform configuration, ensuring scalability, governance, and compliance.\nFacilitate integration of external tools with Atlassian products, configuring APIs, plugins, and third-party applications for secure, efficient data flow.\nEvaluate and integrate plugins to enhance functionality while minimizing overhead.\nGather and document requirements from stakeholders, tracking them through the project lifecycle to ensure solutions align with business needs.\nDevelop scripts using Scriptrunner/Groovy and build automation to extend platform functionality and streamline workflows.\nCreate and maintain technical and user documentation, including configurations, workflows, and system changes, as knowledge base material for ongoing reference.\nDeliver expert guidance and recommendations on Atlassian tools and industry best practices for configuration, workflows, and system architecture.\nAssist with migration planning, preparation, and execution across Atlassian instances or from other platforms.\nProvide end-user support, resources, and documentation to maximize platform adoption.\nMaintain high standards of customer service and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.\n6+ years of experience supporting or managing information systems in a dynamic environment.\n4+ years of proven experience in Atlassian development or platform administration, preferably Data Center.\nFamiliarity with server environments, backend optimization, and troubleshooting.\nExcellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.\nExceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nKnowledge of common uses of Jira and associated tools.\nThrives in dynamic environments, has a passion for improving systems, and enjoys empowering teams with effective tools and processes.\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\nExperience with Software DevOps principles and tools.\nKnowledge of advanced Atlassian configurations, including Jira Service Management.\nStrong coding skills, particularly with Groovy, Python, CSS.\nKnowledge of automation tools and techniques.\nPast experience with server to cloud migrations, Atlassian-specific migrations a plus.\nExperience with IDP setup and plugin management.\nStrong ability to create training materials and technical documentation.\nComfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction.=\nPay Range: \nSenior Technical Product Manager: $156,000.00 - $221,000.00\nStaff Technical Product Manager: $177,000.00 - $251,000.00\nPay Range: California\n$156,000—$251,000 USD\nWe calibrate level and compensation to the selected candidate's experience and demonstrated capability.
