The company plans to develop future habitats and systems for the Moon and Mars, dedicated space stations for government partners, and other crewed systems that will unlock the expanding long-term space economy.\nVast is looking for an Integration Technician, 2nd Shift, reporting to the Supervisor, Integration, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. \nThis will be a full-time, non-exempt position in our Long Beach location.\nShift: \n2nd shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm \nResponsibilities:\nAssemble, install, and test flight hardware in accordance with procedures, specifications, and test instructions\nRead and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions to execute integration operations\nOperate precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers\nPerform hands-on operations with both large and small fragile assemblies, maintaining careful handling throughout\nPerform high-pressure pneumatic testing\nOperate various mechanical hand and power tools without supervision\nCollaborate with production engineers and quality personnel to develop, execute, and document integration activities\nMaintain compliance with standard industry ESD best practices during all operations\nEnsure all work is performed on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards\nPerform other related duties as assigned to support an efficient and effective work environment\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n6+ years of experience in hardware assembly, test, and/or installation\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\nExperience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environments\nExperience in the assembly and testing of propulsion systems, avionics components, and harnesses\nFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license\nExperience working with flight hardware in a fast-paced production environment\nSkilled in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity\nDemonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and reports\nNASA-STD-8739.3 and NASA-STD-8739.4 certification (currently or previously held)\nIPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-620, and IPC-J-STD-001 certification (currently or previously held)\nProficiency with precision measuring instruments\nExperience working in a cleanroom environment\nExperience operating forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with engineering and production personnel\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing roles and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment\nProficiency with computers, including MS Office and Google Workspace\nAdditional Requirements:\nWillingness to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed to support critical mission milestones\nAbility to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted\nAbility to climb ladders and work comfortably in tight or confined spaces\nWillingness to travel for extended periods (weeks at a time) to support vehicle testing and integration at remote sites including Mojave, Ohio, and Florida\nPay Range: California\n$23—$57 USD\nWe calibrate level and compensation to the selected candidate's experience and demonstrated capability.
