The company plans to develop future habitats and systems for the Moon and Mars, dedicated space stations for government partners, and other crewed systems that will unlock the expanding long-term space economy.\nVast is looking for a versatile Senior Brand Designer reporting into the Senior Director, Brand Design, who can move across a wide range of projects and formats without losing quality or momentum. One week that might be event graphics, the next a presentation system, key art, or an RFP layout. This role is rooted in strong brand design craft and the range to apply it anywhere.\nYou'll work within an established design system alongside brand design, comms, events, and marketing ops, helping the brand show up consistently and at a high level across everything we produce. You should be as comfortable concepting as you are rolling up your sleeves on production when the work calls for it.\nThis will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach, CA location.\nResponsibilities: \nDesign across a broad mix of projects: events, presentations, RFPs, illustrations, graphics, and key art\nWork within and extend our design system, proposing improvements where you see gaps\nCreate high-quality layouts, typography systems, and visual assets\nTranslate strategy and messaging into clear, compelling creative\nJump into production work when priorities demand it, without treating it as someone else's job\nMaintain brand consistency and quality across all touchpoints\nPresent work and rationale clearly to stakeholders\nManage multiple fast-moving projects at once and keep the work orderly\nMinimum Qualifications:\n3-7 years of brand design experience across a variety of project types and formats\nPortfolio showing range: brand systems, campaigns, presentations, event or environmental graphics, and production-ready work\nExpert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), plus Figma and Google Workspace\nStrong typography, layout, color, and visual storytelling\nAbility to think conceptually and systematically\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nComfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\nAgency or high-growth brand environment experience\nExperience contributing to or building brand guidelines and systems\nVersatile, you take on whatever the work requires, from concept to final files\nCraft-obsessed, sharp eye for detail and visual excellence\nSystems-aware, you work within a design system and make it stronger\nSelf-directed and communicative, you keep work organized and people informed\nAdditional Requirements:\nAbility to travel up to 50% of the time\nWillingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones\nAbility to lift up to 25lbs unassisted\nSpecific certifications, as appropriate\nPay Range: California\n$121,900—$173,000 USD\nWe calibrate level and compensation to the selected candidate's experience and demonstrated capability.
