The company plans to develop future habitats and systems for the Moon and Mars, dedicated space stations for government partners, and other crewed systems that will unlock the expanding long-term space economy.\nVast is looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter, reporting to the Lead Technical Recruiter, to support engineering hiring for the systems required to design and build human-rated space stations.\nThis is a full-time, exempt position based in Long Beach.\nResponsibilities: \nOwn full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer acceptance across multiple engineering disciplines and openings\nPartner with hiring managers and stakeholders to calibrate on role requirements, interview plans, hiring timelines, and recruiting strategy\nDevelop and execute sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and close highly sought-after passive candidates\nManage candidate pipelines, improve hiring velocity, and drive an engaging, world-class candidate experience\nLead interview debriefs and guide hiring teams through candidate evaluation, decision-making, and closing strategy while maintaining a strong candidate experience\nDevelop and report recruiting metrics such as interview and outreach conversion rates and pipeline health, and proactively flag potential barriers and risks to the hiring plan using data\nEnsure consistent recruiting processes and documentation within the ATS\nRepresent Vast's mission and value proposition to candidates throughout the hiring process\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience\n5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience\nExperience managing multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment\nStrong stakeholder partnership and communication skills\nDemonstrated ability to source and engage passive candidates\nPreferred Experience\nRecruiting experience in Engineering - Mechanical, Avionics, Propulsion, Thermal Controls, Software, GNC, Structures, or Satellites\nExperience using Greenhouse ATS or a similar Applicant Tracking System\nDemonstrated experience operating autonomously and managing competing priorities\nExcellent attention to detail and process discipline\nExperience working in high-growth, fast-scaling organizations\nPay Range: California\n$116,000—$164,000 USD\nWe calibrate level and compensation to the selected candidate's experience and demonstrated capability.
