We’re looking for a skilled CNC operator to join our growing production team and play a key role in transitioning products from R&D to full-scale production.\nRole Description:\nAs a multi-axis CNC Operator at Vatn Systems you will support precision machining operations by running multi-axis CNC equipment and verifying part quality throughout the machining process. This role requires strong attention to detail, disciplined execution of established processes, and the ability to identify issues before they impact part quality. This position supports a rapidly scaling machining operation, where consistency and repeatability are critical to sustaining increasing production rates.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nOperate CNC equipment: 5-axis mills, Mill-turn, Lathe\nExecute processes for production and R&D components\nLoad/unload parts and manage workholding setups\nExecute established programs and follow setup documentation\nPerform in-process inspection on critical features using manual metrology tools\nMonitor process quality\nPerform hand-finishing: Execute meticulous deburring, edge breaking, and final cleaning of precision machined parts\nIdentify and escalate; out-of-tolerance conditions, process instability, drawing ambiguities\nMaintain machine and shop readiness; manage coolant levels, chip management, basic machine maintenance, and keep the general shop floor clean and organized\nSupport continuous improvement of shop processes through constructive feedback\nRequired Qualifications:\n2-4 years CNC machining or operation experience\nExperience working with tight toleranced hardware\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and basic GD&T\nStrong familiarity with precision measurement tools\nDemonstrated attention to detail and process discipline\nAbility to follow established processes consistently\nWillingness to tackle general shop support tasks, from deburring to floor maintenance\nWillingness to stop production and escalate issues when needed\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with multi-axis machining (4-axis / 5-axis)\nFamiliarity with Fanuc CNC controls\nExperience with production environments\nExposure to in-process probing and or inspection methods\nBasic understanding of tool life management and tool wear pattern\nVatn Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
