In this role, you will drive the development and evolution of the applications and services that enable charger communication, smart charging, and energy optimization, helping us deliver reliable, scalable, and customer-centric charging solutions across multiple markets.\nOrganisation\nAs Product Owner Protocols & Smart Charging, you will be part of the international E-Mobility organization and work closely with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and external partners in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.\nYou will be responsible for the products and applications supporting charger communication protocols, energy management, and smart charging processes. By combining business insight with technical understanding, you will ensure these solutions continue to evolve in line with operational needs, customer expectations, and Vattenfall’s long-term strategy.\nYou will report to the Director of Strategy & Product Development within Business Unit E-Mobility.\nResponsibilities\nAs Product Owner, you will define and drive the vision, roadmap, and priorities for applications within the Protocols & Smart Charging domain.\nYour responsibilities include:\nDeveloping and maintaining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for smart charging and communication platforms.\nEnsuring applications support both business and technical requirements while contributing to E-Mobility’s strategic objectives.\nManaging the product backlog and prioritizing features, enhancements, and improvements based on business value.\nDriving the implementation of new capabilities, including documentation, training, and change management activities.\nSupporting the development, maintenance, and scaling of energy management and charger communication solutions.\nWorking closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric and value-driven products.\nManaging relationships with internal and external IT suppliers to ensure reliable operations and continuous improvement.\nEnsuring systems support efficient operational processes, financial handling, and compliance requirements.\nEvaluating how new increments fit within the broader application lifecycle and architecture landscape.\nCommunicating product strategy, priorities, and recommendations effectively to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.\nThis position can be based in Amsterdam, Solna, or Berlin.\n Who are you?\nWe are looking for someone who combines strong product ownership capabilities with technical understanding and a passion for sustainable mobility.\nYou bring:\nA Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.\nExperience within E-Mobility, ideally working with energy management systems, smart charging solutions, or communication platforms.\nStrong understanding of digital product development and application lifecycle management.\nExperience working in Agile environments and with Scrum methodologies.\nKnowledge of energy management concepts and IoT-based communication principles.\nProven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes in an international matrix organization.\nExperience developing product strategies and presenting recommendations to senior management or executive stakeholders.\nExcellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nThe ability to collaborate effectively across teams, disciplines, and countries.\nAs a person, you are proactive, action-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in situations where not everything is clearly defined. You are resilient, adaptable, and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, products, and outcomes.
