The ideal candidate is passionate about content management, quality assurance, and content strategy, and has experience with Federal environments.\nLocation: Remote with potential minimal travel to Client site.\nResponsibilities\nServe as team lead for a cross-functional group, including managing team workloads and assignments. \nProvide mentorship and coaching to junior team members, fostering skill development and collaboration.\nDevelop and implement comprehensive content strategies that align with government objectives and project goals.\nCreate and maintain content guidelines, editorial standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and subject matter experts, to integrate content into overall project workflows.\nOversee content lifecycle management, including planning, creation, approval, publishing, and archiving.\nEnsure all content complies with federal regulations, including Section 508 accessibility standards and agency-specific policies.\nPerform content audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.\nDesign and manage workflows and tools for efficient content production and review processes.\nAnalyze content performance metrics and user feedback to inform data-driven content decisions and improvements.\nServe as a content advocate, advising stakeholders on best practices for user-focused and accessible content design and strategy\nManage version control and ensure the integrity of content across digital platforms.\nFacilitate content-focused workshops, training sessions, and presentations for stakeholders and team members.\nSecurely handle sensitive government information, adhering to all confidentiality and compliance requirements.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nMust Have\nYou must be a US citizen and be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.\nBachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, User Experience, Computer Science, or a related field.\n7+ years of experience in content governance, content management, or related roles, with a strong focus on user-centered design.\nDemonstrated experience leading content management for government agencies or within the public sector.\nStrong understanding of federal accessibility requirements, including Section 508 compliance.\nProven ability to conduct content audits, gap analyses, and user research to inform strategy.\nProficiency with content management systems (CMS) like Drupal, WordPress, or SharePoint.\nKnowledge of web design principles, including SEO, HTML, and information architecture.\nStrong analytical skills to interpret content performance metrics and user feedback for continuous improvement.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.\nExperience working in Agile or Scrum environments and using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).\nStrong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing and guiding content teams.\nNice to Have\nExperience with healthcare related content strategy, design, or research\nCertifications such as CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies), UX certifications, or PMI certifications are a plus\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nCapable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, and frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.\nPerks and Benefits\nPaid time off \nPaid holidays\nWork-from-home opportunities\n401k with matching incentive\nMedical/dental/vision benefits\nCompany provided life insurance\nCompany provided short-term disability\nThis is a Full-Time, W2 position.
