You're detail-oriented, organized, and eager to expand your accounting knowledge while contributing to a global finance organization.\nAs a Junior/Accountant, you'll support the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, project accounting activities, and other core accounting functions across multiple business units and legal entities. You'll work closely with the Corporate Accounting and Revenue Accounting teams to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.\n\nHere’s where you come in…\nMonth-End Close\nSupport the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process across multiple entities.\nPrepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.\nAssist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other recurring close activities.\nEnsure assigned close tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.\nGeneral Ledger Reconciliations\nPrepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.\nInvestigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.\nReview general ledger activity for unusual transactions and ensure financial data accuracy.\nMaintain supporting schedules for key balance sheet accounts.\nSupport the cleanup of legacy balance sheet accounts and resolve aged or unsupported balances.\nTrack outstanding reconciliation items and follow through with the appropriate teams until resolution.\nProject Wrap & Accounting Support\nSupport project wrap activities by partnering with the Revenue Accounting team to ensure projects are closed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company accounting policies.\nPrepare reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies related to project wrap and other revenue accounting activities.\nAdditional Audit Support\nWork closely with the Corporate Accounting team on recurring accounting processes and improvements.\nAssist with financial reporting schedules and audit support.\nPrepare supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests.\nHelp maintain compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.\nProcess Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.\nAssist in documenting accounting procedures and standard operating processes.\nSupport Finance transformation initiatives and automation projects where applicable.\nAd-hoc Responsibilities\nSupport special accounting projects as assigned.\nAssist with year-end audit requests and other Finance initiatives.\nPerform additional accounting duties to support the Finance organization.\nREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE\nWe treasure personality and experience yet we do know that these qualifications lead to what WE KNOW as a success...\nBachelor's degree in Accounting\n1-3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience preferred).\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and the month-end close process.\nExperience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas).\nExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nAbility to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nExperience working in a multinational or shared services environment is a plus.\nPositive attitude, willingness to learn, and a continuous improvement mindset.\nA collaborative team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.\nWhat you should know about VaynerMedia\nThink “lab” and not “agency”.
