Decile Capital deploys capital into emerging managers.Together, these offerings make venture capital more accessible to anyone with world-class ideas and execution.Role OverviewThe Fund Controller is accountable for the correctness, consistency, and integrity of fund accounting across Decile’s supported venture funds. This role owns accounting judgment, standards, and escalation, ensuring that financial outputs are accurate, defensible, and applied consistently across fund structures. This position offers deep exposure to venture fund operations at scale, working closely with senior fund accountants, treasury and compliance partners, and external audit and tax providers. The Fund Controller also partners with Product and Engineering teams to help translate accounting standards and edge cases into scalable systems and workflows as the platform continues to grow.What You’ll Own\nOwn accounting standards, interpretations, and policies across supported venture funds\n\nServe as the final escalation point for complex accounting questions and edge cases\n\nReview and approve financial outputs where accounting judgment is required\n\nEnsure consistent accounting treatment across funds, vehicles, and structures\n\nPartner with audit and tax providers to support clean, predictable reviews\n\nGuide Senior Fund Accountants in applying standards and resolving complex issues\n\nPartner with Product and Engineering to inform the design of accounting workflows, controls, and automation\n\nHelp identify patterns and recurring complexity that should be addressed through tooling rather than manual intervention\n\nSupport fund migrations and structural changes from an accounting perspective\n\nWhat You Bring\nCore Requirements\n\n7–10+ years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration\n\nDeep understanding of venture capital or private equity fund structures and fund administration workflows\n\nProven experience making and defending accounting judgment calls in complex, multi-fund environments\n\nExperience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to translate accounting requirements into scalable systems, workflows, or tooling\n\nFamiliarity with Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs) and their accounting implications\n\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or edge-case scenarios\n\nClear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accountants\n\nAbility to lead through clarity, collaboration, and consistency\n\nComfort operating in a remote, fast-moving, and evolving organization\n\nNice to Have\n\nPrior experience working in venture capital or with venture funds at scale\n\nExposure to building or improving accounting systems, platforms, or internal tools\n\nPrior audit or public accounting background\n\nWhat We Offer\nMeaningful impact through building infrastructure that expands access to venture capital globally\n\nOpportunity for career growth and role expansion as the platform scales\n\nCompetitive compensation commensurate with experience\n\nRemote-first work environment with thoughtful, high-caliber teammates\n\nA working schedule for adults, including flexible hours and flexible PTO\n\nHow to Apply:If you don't tick every box above, we'd still encourage you to apply.
