Whilst the successful candidate needs to be a natural self-starter, it is also important that the candidate can work as part of a team across a range of disciplines.\nWhat you will provide for your clients:\nProvide a strategic vision for every client and every campaign you oversee, through clear strategies that you help embed within the account teams\nBecome a central strategist for a number of accounts, working towards becoming solo lead strategist for one or two accounts \nDevelop specific presentations, proposals, reports and content that will help shape the client’s comms and marketing plans\nProvide insight into and understanding of the tech industry and where the client sits within it, to be able to advise them effectively\nBuild a deep understanding of clients’ business and audiences by gathering and synthesising insights from first, second and third-party data sources\nInfluence senior client stakeholders, provide answers and advice, and proactively bring the agency’s thoughts and ideas into any strategy or planning presentations\nDevelop comms and campaign planning, messaging, narratives, brand architectures and thought leadership content that provide the foundation for client programmes and campaigns\nDevelop creative briefs in line with client objectives, brief the creative teams and review their output, giving feedback to help them refine their work\nUse free or VCCP Roar’s owned tools - including Google Trends, Moz, SimilarWeb, Sparktoro Google Data Studio and Statista - to identify or substantiate insights, trends and campaign platforms and identify influencers\nWhat you will bring to the team:\nAct as core strategist for new business pitches by developing insights, campaign platforms, and activations, helping to keep the pitch focused and relevant\nProactively seek out and share items of interest i.e. reports, insights, campaigns, concepts\nDevelop campaign research proposals, interrogating the client to understand their aims and using different research methodologies to achieve the data they need, analysing and presenting key messages back to the client\nProduce all documents in a good quality of writing, with clear structure, simplicity of language and relevant word choice\nUse data and insights to develop, target, optimise and measure campaigns spanning the full customer journey\nUse and apply different planning methods, VCCP Roar’s offerings, comms components and terminology to meet client expectations\nResponsibilities:\nEnd-to-end strategy development: drive or contribute to the strategic process from desk research and market research through the creation of strategy documents\nCreative briefing and oversight: translating client briefs into compelling and actionable creative briefs, guiding the creative team and account teams to ensure work remains on-strategy.\nClient counsel: work with clients, in partnership with account teams, to lead programme strategy, host workshops and sessions and provide measurement guidance.\nNew business: contribute to new business pitching, developing research, insight and creative platforms for new opportunities across VCCP Roar.\nForesight and thought leadership: Contribute to the Strategy & Planning team and wider agency culture of being data driven and ahead of emerging channels such as GEO and LLMs.\nRole-specific Skills Required: \nResearch and insight synthesis; confident in data analysis\n\nStrong communicator and copywriter\n\nCritical thinking\n\nCuriosity and deep interest in the world\n\nExcellent workshop hosting and presentation skills\n\nConfident and self-motivated; able to work independently and collaboratively\n\nVCCP DE&I STATEMENT\nWe believe that DE&I is about creating a strong culture of inclusion within our agency, where everyone can thrive and be their authentic self.
