The role ensures that components meet applicable drawing characteristics, specification, quality and purchase-order requirements before approval for production use.\nKey Areas of Responsibility:\nReview supplier First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for completeness, accuracy, traceability and compliance with company and customer requirements.\nReview ballooned drawings to ensure all applicable dimensions, tolerances, drawing notes and specifications are correctly identified and captured in the FAIR.\nVerify inspection results, inspection methods and measuring equipment to ensure they are appropriate and accurately reflect the specified requirements.\nReview supporting documentation, including material certificates, Certificates of Conformance, special-process certificates, test reports and calibration records.\nConduct physical, dimensional and visual verification of First Article parts where required, including critical or high-risk characteristics.\nApprove or reject FAIR submissions, clearly communicate discrepancies and ensure all outstanding issues and non-conformances are satisfactorily addressed before approval.\nRaise and follow up on non-conformances and verify supplier corrective actions before approval.\nCoordinate FAI priorities, submission schedules and outstanding FAIRs with suppliers and internal stakeholders.\nMaintain accurate FAI records and escalate delayed, repeatedly rejected or high-risk submissions.\nRequirements\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline. \nMinimum 3 years of experience in First Article Inspection, mechanical inspection, supplier quality, manufacturing quality or precision engineering.\nExperience reviewing FAIRs and inspecting precision-machined components, sheet-metal parts, fabricated parts or mechanical assemblies.\nStrong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, drawing notes, revisions and GD&T.\nGood understanding of FAI requirements, inspection methods and measurement equipment.\nFamiliar with material certificates, Certificates of Conformance, special-process certificates, test reports and calibration records.\nGood understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, welding, coating, plating, anodising and mechanical assembly.\nExperience with CMM reports, ISO 9001 or AS9102 is an
