You'll support a team of engineers, helping them grow their capability while creating an environment where quality, collaboration and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.\nThis role is as much about enabling others to do great work as it is about technical leadership.\nWhat you'll be doing\nSupporting and developing a team of Full Stack Engineers and Technical Leads.\n\nHelping create an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing engineering environment.\n\nWorking with Product, Architecture, Platform and Cyber teams to deliver secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.\n\nContributing to the design, development and support of applications, APIs, integrations and digital services.\n\nHelping teams understand priorities, navigate dependencies and deliver value incrementally.\n\nPromoting engineering practices that improve quality, reliability, security and maintainability.\n\nSupporting continuous improvement across development, testing, deployment and operational support practices.\n\nUsing data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve services, customer experiences and engineering outcomes.\n\nWorking with partners and vendors to support successful delivery and operational outcomes.\n\nEncouraging knowledge sharing, learning and technical growth across the engineering community.\n\nWhat you'll bring\nWe're more interested in your capability and approach than whether you've followed a particular career path.\nYou'll bring:\nExperience building and supporting digital products, applications or services in a modern technology environment.\n\nA strong foundation in full stack engineering, including application development, APIs, integrations and cloud-based technologies.\n\nExperience mentoring, coaching or supporting other engineers.\n\nAn interest in creating simple, sustainable and well-designed technical solutions.\n\nA collaborative approach to problem solving and decision making.\n\nAn appreciation for balancing customer needs, technical quality and delivery outcomes.\n\nStrong communication skills and an ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nCuriosity, adaptability and a willingness to keep learning.\n\nA commitment to building inclusive teams where people can contribute and grow.\n\nExperience in engineering leadership, technology delivery, platform engineering or application development would be valuable, but we recognise that great candidates can come from many different backgrounds.\nA little ambiguity doesn't scare you\nWe're evolving our Digital & Data operating model and continuing to build new capabilities across the organisation.\nThat means not everything is fully defined.\nSome days you'll work within established practices.
