For more information, visit www.vectra.ai. \nThe Role \nWe are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Fusion engineering team, focused on building systems that ingest, process, and analyze network cloud telemetry such as flow and DNS logs. \nThis is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role. You will design and scale distributed systems that power real-time detection, while influencing architecture, standards, and engineering practices across teams. \nWhat You’ll Do \nDesign and build scalable backend systems using Go and Python \nDevelop and evolve high-throughput data pipelines for network flow and DNS telemetry \nArchitect systems for real-time and near real-time data processing \nImprove performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of platform services \nLead design and code reviews, setting a high bar for engineering quality \nDrive cross-team architecture and platform alignment \nPartner with product and detection teams to deliver shared platform capabilities \nMentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and ownership \nWhat We’re Looking For \n8+ years of experience building distributed systems at scale \nStrong proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience with Python \nExperience with streaming or data-intensive systems (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Flink) \nSolid understanding of network telemetry (e.g., flow logs, DNS) \nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) \nStrong background in systems design, performance, and reliability \nProven ability to lead technical initiatives across teams \nNice to have: \nBackground in cybersecurity or network detection \nExperience with real-time analytics systems \nExpertise in data warehousing technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Druid) \nWhy Join Vectra \nWork on high-scale, real-time systems solving complex security challenges \nHelp build a platform that processes massive volumes of network data \nCollaborate with experienced engineers in a high-impact environment \nContribute to technology that directly improves customer security outcomes \nOur competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below.
