You will collaborate with hardware and software engineers to bring up and optimize camera devices on embedded platforms, ensuring realization of high-performance, reliable and efficient Edge AI products/solutions.\n\nRole & Responsibilities / What you’ll do:\n\nDevelop and maintain camera device drivers for Linux-based embedded systems, focusing on integration with serializers, de-serializers, and camera sensors. Perform camera sensor bring-up, including configuring and testing various camera sensors and modules on embedded systems.\n\nImplement and support V4L2 (Video4Linux2) camera drivers for a variety of image sensors and camera modules.\n\nDesign and optimize camera frameworks to support camera streaming, capture, and processing for embedded Linux systems.\n\nCollaborate with hardware engineers to understand the camera module architecture, sensor features, and integrate hardware interfaces with software drivers.\n\nDebug and troubleshoot camera-related issues at both the driver and system level, including issues with memory, performance, and synchronization.\n\nParticipate in the team's software processes, including -- requirements and design documentation, test-plan generation and execution, peer design and code reviews, process feedback and improvements\n\nStay current with the industry trends and developments in camera technologies, V4L2, Edge AI and embedded Linux systems.\n\nRequired skills / Whom we are looking for:\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in related engineering field with 2+ to 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded Linux device drivers and BSPs\n\nProficiency in C/C++ programming languages.\n\nStrong experience with V4L2 (Video4Linux2) API, frameworks, and camera capture pipelines. Camera frameworks (e.g., Media Controller API, V4L2 Subdev API).\n\nGood understanding and experience with camera sensors, serializers, de-serializers, and related hardware interfaces (e.g., MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, I2C, SPI).\n\nProven experience in Linux device tree configuration, Linux BSP development, board bring-up and integration for camera support on embedded platforms.\n\nStrong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including experience with tools like GDB, JTAG, and kernel debugging.\n\nExperience with kernel space programming and understanding of Linux kernel internals.\n\nStrong understanding of Processor/SoC architecture, memory management, interrupt handling, and low-level programming.\n\nExperience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing software for embedded hardware.\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.\n\nDetail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable software.\n\nSelf-motivated with a strong passion for embedded AI systems and technology.\n\nNice-to-haves\n\nExperience with any other platform Linux device drivers, power management, performance optimization or hardware/software integration etc.,\n\nFamiliarity with Android Camera HAL and OpenCV integration for image processing and computer vision tasks.\n\nExperience with Qualcomm Camera frameworks\n\nExperience with debugging camera performance and image quality issues (e.g., exposure, white balance, noise reduction).\n\nExperience with scripting languages: Python, shell scripts\n\nExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) like QNX, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or similar.\n\nFamiliarity with continuous integration and automated testing practices.\n\nWhy join us:\n\nOpportunity to work on innovative projects with the latest Embedded & AI technologies\n\nOpportunities for accelerated career growth and professional development.
