This individual contributor role is ideal for someone with a strong technical accounting background who has experience applying ASC 606 who has an interest in applying the latest technology to help the revenue organization to scale effectively as the business continues to grow in size and complexity.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn complex components of the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and revenue-related reporting.\nApply and interpret ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance, including evaluation of contract terms, performance obligations, variable consideration, usage-based fees, and consumption-based arrangements.\nAnalyze revenue transactions and customer contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.\nSupport external audit and internal review activities by preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and maintaining appropriate documentation.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to understand new products, pricing models, contract structures, and business initiatives that may impact revenue recognition.\nIdentify, recommend, and lead small, complex multi-stakeholder projects that result in process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and control within revenue accounting operations.\nDevelop a strong understanding of company systems, tools, and data flows to support revenue processes which then lead to automation, improved reporting capabilities, and system enhancements\nMaintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal control, control gap identification, and remediation recommendations.\nMentor junior colleagues and share technical knowledge to foster team growth and development\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field\nCPA or equivalent certification preferred\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in revenue accounting and the application of ASC 606.\nStrong technical accounting foundation with the ability to research, document, and communicate accounting conclusions.\nAbility to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively across teams.\nDemonstrated ability to adapt to new systems, tools, processes, and evolving business requirements\nExperience with ERP, revenue recognition, billing, CRM, or data analytics tools preferred.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.\nProficiency in Excel and other key Microsoft applications; advanced Excel skills preferred. \nExcellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. \nKnowledge of SOX compliance and demonstrated experience executing, documenting, or improving internal controls. \nWhat you'll get\nUnlimited paid time off, 12 paid holidays including 4 global VeeaMe Days for self-care and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares\nPaid parental leave: 8 weeks for all parents, 16 weeks for birthing parents\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage starting on your first day\nMental health support, therapy sessions, and digital wellness tools via our Employee Assistance Program\n401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions\nFertility, adoption, and surrogacy support through Maven, plus paid volunteer time\nAirVet: 24/7 virtual veterinary care at no cost\nLegal services, identity protection, and supplemental health insurance options\nTax-advantaged spending accounts for healthcare, dependent care, and commuting\nOpportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops, and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning\nCompensation Transparency\nVeeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus.
