About the Role

Reporting to the leader of Worldwide Kasten Specialist Sales, this is the most senior Kasten sales voice in APJ, and influence rather than reporting lines is how the work gets done.

Veeam Kasten for Kubernetes is Veeam's Kubernetes-native data protection platform, purpose-built for modern cloud-native applications and AI-driven workloads. 

As Enterprises across Asia Pacific and Japan accelerate Kubernetes adoption through container-based application modernization and modern virtualization, Kasten is positioned to be the data resilience standard for cloud-native infrastructure in the region.

For this reason, Veeam is looking to fill a senior, quota-carrying specialist sales role with scope across the whole of APJ rather than a single market. 

You will own the Kasten enterprise number for the region, carry full autonomy on the pursuits that matter most, and shape how Kasten is sold across APJ: the strategy, the standards, and the playbooks the region runs on. Kasten is the primary focus, and you will also drive Veeam Data Platform opportunities where Kubernetes and virtualization workloads converge. 

What You’ll Do

Regional sales ownership

•    Own the Kasten enterprise sales number across APJ, originating and closing large, complex, multi-stakeholder deals end to end, and drive Veeam Data Platform opportunities where Kubernetes and virtualization workloads converge
•    Set the Kasten specialist go-to-market strategy across APJ markets, including Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, India, and Japan
•    Build and own the executive relationships across the APJ enterprise account base and with senior Veeam and partner leaders in region
•    Partner with APJ field sales leadership on coverage, territory planning, and pursuit strategy, and lead regular reviews of regional Kasten pipeline health

Leadership through influence

•    Serve as the senior Kasten sales authority in APJ, mentoring specialists, systems engineers, and experienced field sellers, and setting the standard for how Kasten is positioned and sold
•    Anticipate shifts across markets and functions, align diverse groups behind a single approach, and keep pursuit teams and partners moving through ambiguity
•    Feed regional commercial intelligence back to Product Marketing and Product Management: competitive dynamics, packaging gaps, and the win-loss patterns that shape how Kasten is sold in APJ
•    Develop the alliance, hyperscaler, and channel relationships that generate pipeline in region, and represent Kasten at industry and partner events
•    Travel up to 40% across APJ, with occasional global travel

What You’ll Bring

•    10+ years in enterprise software sales or specialist sales, with a sustained record of closing large, complex enterprise deals
•    Experience owning a multi-country number across APJ rather than a single-market territory
•    Track record operating independently on high-visibility strategic pursuits with long sales cycles, including channel-led and partner-influenced motions
•    Demonstrated influence without authority: mentoring experienced sellers, setting standards others adopt, and shaping decisions across functions and senior stakeholders
•    Credibility with senior enterprise executives and with regional leadership at Veeam and its alliance partners
•    Working knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, and enterprise virtualization and data protection, with the ability to translate technical capability into business value

Preferred qualifications include: 

•    Experience selling Kubernetes or virtualization platforms into APJ enterprise accounts, including Red Hat OpenShift, AWS EKS, or VMware vSphere environments
•    Background selling to enterprise DevOps, Platform Engineering, or IT Operations teams
•    Experience operating in a specialist overlay model alongside a core field sales organization
•    Experience launching or scaling a new product or business motion inside a larger organization
•    Prior people-leadership experience, or a clear appetite for it as the APJ Kasten team scales in FY27
•    You’ll enable collaboration, resolving friction and aligning diverse groups
•    You’ll work across time zones and cultures, communicating strategically with Senior Leaders whilst shaping alignment and decision making.
