We are now looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team.\nWe are the Data as a Service (DaaS) team, a core part of Veikkaus' TECH organization. Our team of around 20 professionals is responsible for the data's core journey - from integrating data through various interfaces, to transforming and storing it, and ultimately delivering it for analytics and other solutions.\nOur day-to-day work includes maintaining existing solutions, building new ones, and continuously developing our ways of working - both in terms of technology and processes. We design and build future data platform solutions while continuously improving efficiency.\nThis position is full time and permanent and located at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model - to foster collaboration and teamwork we meet at the office three times a week. Please note that this job requires a valid residence permit for all non-EU citizens.\nThis role is for you if you\nhave previous experience as Data Engineer and have hands-on experience in SQL and operational ETL/ELT processes. You are passionate about technical data processing and have a genuine desire to develop common ways of working.\nYou are also\nfamiliar with agile methods and understand their value \nexperienced on incident management and related processes\nappreciating long-term development and continuous improvement \na true team player with proactive mind-set and excellent problem-solving skills\nWe consider as an advantage if you have\nworked with technologies such as GCP, Kafka, and NiFi\nexperience in utilizing AI in your daily work \nexperience with integrations to external systems \nexperience in DevOps\nWe have lots of different stakeholders with whom you need to be able to communicate clearly - our main language is English. Finnish language skills are seen as a plus.\nFor those at the beginning of their data engineering career, we value a strong willingness and ability to learn, along with a genuine interest in technical data processing.
