By partnering with stakeholders across the organization, you'll help drive innovative solutions that enhance business performance and support VELCO's mission of providing reliable electric transmission services throughout Vermont.\nThe work you do will have a direct impact on our employees, business operations, and the communities we serve.\nResponsibilities\nManages the successful execution of Information Technology projects in accordance with the project scope schedule and budget. Plans, budgets, documents, oversees and leads various projects from conception through completion. Represents the company in the interactions with internal and external stakeholders and provides reports to management on the status of project efforts.\nLead project planning sessions.\nCoordinate internal and external resources.\nManage project progress and adapt work as required.\nEnsure projects meet deadlines.\nManage project costs according to budgets.\nManage relationships with stakeholders.\nManage the development of bidding documents including Requests for Proposals, evaluations and internal Challenge Board requests.\nDevelop, sign off and oversee contracts for both materials and services.\nDevelop outage schedules when necessary.\nMonitor the performance of staff and contractors to ensure the successful performance of work in accordance with project plans and company requirements.\nCollaborate with system engineers and software architects to develop products cohesive with the VELCO environment.\nManage risk mitigation and escalation requirements with project team and leadership\nIn conjunction with functional group managers, strategically develop work plans priorities and schedules to effectively manage resources necessary for the execution of projects.\nDevelop annual capital budgets, analyze financial results and update quarterly forecasts for all assigned projects.\nParticipate on strategic teams in alignment with company core behaviors.\nActively support the company’s strategic initiatives in support of the company’s mission and vision.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation & Training\nA Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field is preferred.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.\nExperience\n3 years of experience managing Information Technology projects, personnel management, and budgeting.\n3 years of experience managing Information Technology projects using Agile project management methodology.\nKnowledge/Skills\nSuperior written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.\nExcellent skills with Microsoft suite.\nStrong understanding of project management practices as well as utility infrastructure projects.\nStrong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.\nAbility to scope, plan, budget and execute work.\nAbility to be both creative and analytical.\nExtremely detail-oriented and accurate.\nPhysical/Mental Demands\nProlonged periods of working on a computer. \nMust be able to maintain fast pace while completing complex, analytical work, in potentially stressful situations, with competing priorities, within tight timelines and with frequent interruptions. \nMust be able to work additional hours when necessary. \nPeriodic travel and overnight stays will be required when attending industry workshops, trainings, etc.\n Compensation Range:\n$90,916.80 - $109,100.16 - $127,283.52/salary This compensation range represents the minimum, midpoint and maximum pay for this position. Individual offers will be based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, education, skills, competencies, and experience. Please note that most offers for new employees fall under the midpoint of the range, allowing room for continued salary growth.
