Working with Development, Product, Production Support, and Build teams, the candidate will maintain, support, and optimize network infrastructure services to provide resiliency, stability, and meet the requirements of the business.\n\nDay in the Life\nThe Network Administrator II position’s primary responsibilities include the support and ongoing maintenance of the network infrastructure to ensure stability, resiliency, security, and services to our clients.\n\nThis position will involve working and resolving service requests, incidents, problem tasks, and changes related to the Velera Network Infrastructure.\n\nParticipates in network device hardware and software upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and incident/alert response in support of maintaining the security posture of our products and for compliance requirements.\n\nEngage in operational run activities such as standardization initiatives, routine compliance tasks, capacity planning, and network monitoring enhancements.\n\nMonitor and support client telecom circuits, working with various carriers and vendors on incident resolution and optimization.\n\nEngage in triage/incident bridge calls and participate in an on-call rotation providing after hours and weekend network support as needed\n\nHigh level of Customer Service experience working with external customers, vendors and internal business departments to provide a high level of customer satisfaction\n\nProvide technical consulting services to the company’s internal and external customers\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree preferred\n\nCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent experience\n\nRelevant Industry certifications including Azure and/or AWS or equivalent experience\n\n2-5 years relevant experience in subject matter\n\nSolid experience configuring and maintaining Cisco routing/switching\n\nExperience supporting layers 1-4 of the OSI model are highly preferred.\n\nSupport and management of security policies within a PCI compliant environment.\n\nUtilize troubleshooting and analytical skills to participate in incident resolution and root cause determination\n\nSD-WAN knowledge would be a plus\n\nKnowledge of Wireshark, Solarwinds, ServiceNow, and/or ADO are helpful.\n\nAbout Velera\nAt Velera, inclusion isn’t an initiative – it’s how we work.
