Estimate time required to complete support activities.\n\nSupport Engineering with creation and submission of ECOs.\n\nWork from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers to design static aids and dynamic fixtures used in testing and manufacturing of products.\n\nAssist in creating engineering BOMs on drawings and in ERP systems.\n\nAssist in lifecycle changes and production release of drawings via ECOs.\n\nProvide electrical engineering support for resolution of field and manufacturing issues via drawing changes.\n\nInitiate and participate in process improvement activities as approved and directed by supervisor.\n\nParticipate in and support department projects and company initiatives as required.\n\nRequirements\nTwo-year technical degree.\n\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in creating drawings for electrical parts, electrical assemblies, electrical cable assemblies, schematics, and interconnect diagrams.\n\nExperience with PLM CAD data management (Velo3D is currently using Propel).\n\nExperience in creating electrical assembly drawings and drawing BOMs.\n\nExperience with drawing design reviews and check-ins through ECO process.\n\nExperience with instruction creation.\n\nGeneral understanding of GD&T and quality detail drawing documentation.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of GD&T and the use of CAD tools to create/refine designs and drawings for assemblies and custom panels, cables, and schematics.\n\nFamiliarity with fabricated components, sheet metal, and machined parts is a must.
