The Quality Engineer will work both independently and on teams with other engineers under the supervision of Quality management to put together project plans. The job functions will cover overseeing, driving and improving quality in manufacturing, supply chain and field service.\nJob Responsibilities\nOperate in the inspect, diagnose, and repair mindset.\nProvide in-process inspection activities.\nWork closely with manufacturing, process, field service and quality teams to establish and maintain processes and procedures that will ensure consistently high quality.\nDrive CAPA activity using established processes to determine the root cause of problems and drive for implementation of corrective actions and countermeasures.\nComprehend current production quality trends based on dashboards or from occurrences in the line.\nRapidly communicate emerging and trending quality issues.\nExecute timely corrective action for quality mitigation and containment.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to support investigation, containment, and execution for strategic quality issues.\nFlexibility for dynamic changes in day-to-day work as it pertains to daily quality priorities.\nMaintain quality performance metrics and drive issues to root cause solutions.\nAudit manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures.\nAssist in the identification and resolution of manufacturing quality issues, contain parts or products as needed, sort parts for quality requirements.\nParticipate in continuous improvement activities, with manufacturing and external suppliers.\nTake part in an ongoing optimization of the products with respect to both cost and production technology.\nAssist with external and internal audit activity.\nSupport FMEA activities to ensure design and manufacturing issues are identified and risks mitigated.\nAnalyze and disposition product nonconformances as a member of the Material Review Board.\nAnalyze and interpret data independently.\nAnticipate potential problems and take preventative action.\nHelp running supplier continuous improvement plans.\nQualifications\nRequired: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.\nRequired: Minimum of 1 - 5 years of experience working with industry standards that include ISO 9001 and AS9100.\nRequired: Experience processing CAPAs, NCRs and extensive problem-solving, root cause analysis.\nRequired: Experience in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.\nRequired: Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma practices, 5S, TPS, TQM, etc.\nHigh commitment to contribute to a positive, high paced, and results oriented work environment.\nStrong desire to work for a dynamic company working on disruptive technologies and make it a success, high level of tolerance to ambiguity.\nCreativity in problem solving; ability to quantify problems and develop analytical solution development, proficient in data-driven decision making.\nDemonstrated ability to be disciplined in approach and thought process.\nTeam-oriented and self-directed.\nHigh level of accountability.\nExperience within quality systems in a medium/high volume manufacturing environment.\nExperience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA preferred.\nStrong aptitude for electronic test and measurements systems.\nAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ability to lift and sort parts of up to 30 pounds as needed.\nDetail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.\nAbility to use technological tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data.\nKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) highly desired.\nWork Environment:\nWork is performed in an office setting as well as on the manufacturing floor.
