You will research, develop, design, test, evaluate, and document mechanical components, subassemblies, equipment, and systems, applying principles and techniques of mechanical engineering. This position is responsible to work independently and as a member of a team supporting the development of capital equipment.\nEssential Functions\nResearch, develop, and design mechanical and electromechanical and/or pneumatic prototypes, systems and subsystems for capital equipment (involving stepper or servo motors, pneumatic pumps, valves, etc…)\nPerform GD&T analysis of designs at the system and subsystem level\nConduct system level integration and validation of designs (testing and troubleshooting)\nPlan and perform tests to analyze the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems\nContinuous improvement related to enhancing system performance, reliability and manufacturability \nDrive full documentation of design including BOM, drawings and procedures\nOversee and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.\nManage small to mid-sized projects from concept to production. \nCollaborate in a team environment working with Hardware, Software and Process.\nParticipates in team and other assigned meetings \nQualifications\n Required:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university in mechanical engineering or a related field or higher\n8+ years of experience in Mechanical Systems Design and Development\n6+ years of CAD experience (Solidworks prefered) \n8+ years’ experience designing manufacturing systems for semiconductor, machining, automation, materials processing, or other related industrial capital equipment applications (Additive Manufacturing, Semiconductor, Solar, Robotics, CNC, or Biomedical Manufacturing Equipment Design Engineering experience)\nExperience in GD&T and quality detail drawing documentation.\nThermal Analysis, FEA, CFD, and simulation software.\nSystems level thinker with experience working on complex mechanical systems\nHigh level of commitment to contribute to a positive, high-paced and results-oriented work environment\nWilling and able to work “Hands-on” to build, integrate and test newly developed systems and/or subsystems\nSelf-driven and independent thinking.
