You will join Group Strategy & M&A, the internal strategy and advisory team of the VELUX Group, based at our headquarters in Hørsholm.Reporting directly to the VP, Group Strategy & M&A, you will become part of a young, high-performing teamwith backgrounds from leadingconsulting firms, including McKinsey, BCGand Bain.
Our team works on some of the most important strategic priorities facing the VELUX Group, supporting theCEO, Executive Group Management,and senior leaders across the organisation. We operateas internal consultants and trusted advisors, helping the organisation navigate evolving market dynamics, identifygrowth opportunities,and make informed strategic decisions. We combine analytical rigourwith a pragmatic, hands-on approach and collaborate closely with stakeholders across all parts of the business.
What we offer
As a Student Assistant, you will gain valuable experience working with strategic initiatives across the VELUX Group while developing your analyticalcapabilities, consultingskill set, business understandingand stakeholder management skills.You will receive close guidanceand feedback from experienced strategy professionals, building a strong foundationin structured problem-solving, analysisand executive communication.
More specifically, your tasks will be to:
- Contribute tostrategic projects across different partsof the VELUX value chain, including Sales & Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations
- Conduct research and analyses related to markets, competitors, industry trends, and business opportunities
- Assistin preparing business cases, presentations, recommendations, and decision-support materials
- Collect, structureand analysedata to generate actionable insights
- Contribute to workshops, meetings, and strategic discussions with stakeholders across the organisation
- Assistwith project coordination and follow-up activities,and support ad hoc analyses and tasksacross ongoing strategic initiatives
- Help maintainand improve analytical tools, templates, and best practices within Group Strategy & M&A
What you will bring
You are curious, analytical,and eager to learn. You enjoy working with data and business challenges and are motivated by understanding how strategic decisions are made in a large international organisation.You are structured in your approach to work, comfortable collaborating with different stakeholders,and capable of balancing multiple priorities.At the same time, you are a proactiveteam player who enjoys contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
Moreover, we expect that you:
- Are currently pursuing - or about to start -a relevant Master'sdegree within Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Strategy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrate strong academic performanceand analytical capabilities
- Have an interest in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or business analysis
- Possess strong skillsin PowerPoint and Excel, and are comfortable working with data and quantitative analyses
- Can communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Have a structured and detail-oriented approach to your work
- Take initiative and enjoy working independently while also collaborating closely with others
- Communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written
- Can work 15-20 hours per week on fixed or pre-agreed days, with flexibility both ways (e.g., around exams or peak project periods)
