Candidates located in or willing to relocate to Pune are encouraged to apply. \nVena Solutions is seeking a Technical Lead - Staff Software Developer who will act as an engineering team leader driving high-quality delivery of product improvements, while staying hands-on and contributing to the codebase for our cloud-native SaaS product.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nLead day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring the team consistently delivers high-impact product enhancements while maintaining and improving long-term codebase quality and sustainability. \nServe as the technical leader within the team, partnering with Software Architects to drive system design decisions for major initiatives in alignment with the broader architectural vision. \nTackle complex technical challenges, providing hands-on solutions while empowering team members to contribute effectively to problem-solving efforts.\nCollaborate closely with Product Managers to ensure roadmaps are realistic, delivery commitments are met, and resource gaps are proactively identified and addressed.\nCritically review epics and project scopes to ensure work is well-defined, properly prioritized, and clearly understood by the team. \nMentor and develop engineers through coaching, pair programming, and thoughtful code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence. \nChampion long-term codebase health by ensuring technical debt is appropriately identified, prioritized, and addressed during sprint and quarterly planning. \nPromote and uphold engineering best practices, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives across the team. \nAct as a Guild or Chapter Lead, driving cross-team alignment and advancing engineering practices at the organizational level.\nDrive the adoption of AI-driven development practices and innovative tooling to enhance engineering productivity, streamline workflows, and accelerate high-quality software delivery.\nWe'd Love to See\n8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on server-side engineering \nWith 3+ years of experience leading software development teams as a Tech Lead (or operating in a similar leadership capacity) \nProven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the software development lifecycle \nDemonstrated experience delivering against SaaS product roadmaps, with a focus on improving development efficiency and delivery outcomes \nStrong track record in mentoring engineers and leading effective project planning and execution \nHands-on experience working within Agile development environments \nExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders \nInterest in AI and willingness to explore AI-driven solutions to enhance performance and drive efficiencies \n\nPreferred Qualifications (Optional):\nExtensive experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex Power BI solutions, including enterprise-grade dashboards and semantic models\nProficiency in DAX with a strong ability to build efficient, scalable, and maintainable data models\nProficiency in Power Query (M), Experience to build production level PowerBI connector\nProven track record of staying ahead of industry trends and applying advancements in Business Intelligence, cloud, DevOps, and AI-driven analytics\nExperience identifying gaps and leading improvements in BI tools, data architecture, and development processes to drive performance and usability\nHands-on experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., data storage, processing, and analytics), ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions\nExposure to AI/ML capabilities within Power BI and the broader Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., AI visuals, Copilot, Azure AI services), with the ability to translate them into business value\nBase salary range 3,334,976 - 4,512,026 INR \n\n*Our salaries are tailored to roles, levels and locations.
