They work with users in the Worcester, MA and Warner Robbins, GA office, as well as with remote employees - as directed by the IT/Compliance Manager at Covenir - to ensure quality and consistency in the administration of systems. Job Description:\nThe IT Systems Administrator will:\nWork with users to identify system requirements; develop processing procedures and system modifications to meet these specifications.\nAdminister and maintain core network infrastructure.\nAdminister and maintain Windows OS environments (including all desktop and server variants, both physical and virtual).\nSupport non-desktop hardware (printers, inserters, postage meter, OPEX scanner, etc.).\nImage and update Covenir systems (Azure, physical or virtual).\nCoordinate with managers and users to identify systems problems; assess severity of issues and prioritize responses as appropriate.\nTrain users, where necessary, in use of hardware and software.\nPerform scheduled patching and update procedures on server and infrastructure systems.\nProvide flexibility in work assignments as required, including but not limited to: network administration, helpdesk request resolution, equipment distribution, desktop/laptop/server installation and configuration, hardware/software inventory management, and hardware repair/component replacement.\nOperate independently and think on your feet to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.\nPerform proactive reporting and regular systems reviews to identify potential issues and improvements.\nManage and optimize Azure infrastructure, including cost analysis and forecasting, to support budget planning.\nOversee cloud environments including Azure and AWS.\nMaintain and support enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco Meraki networking equipment, firewalls, VPNs, and peer-to-peer network configurations.\nLead and manage IT projects by developing detailed plans, setting and meeting milestones, monitoring progress, and maintaining appropriate buffers. Provide clear reporting on project status to stakeholders.\nWork with minimal supervision.\nManage infrastructure systems to include SIEM, Web & Email gateways, and Misc. Vulnerability scanning tools to protect the overall security posture\nCoaching and mentoring of technical and non-technical staff\nWork independently or as a team to achieve project, strategic or tactical goals\nProject Mgmt. and leadership tasks as assigned\nRely on broad experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.\nUse creativity and latitude to accomplish position responsibilities.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\n2+ years of work experience in Systems/Network Administration.\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.\nRequired Proficiencies: Support abilities in Windows Server environments, TCP/IP configuration, wired & wireless networking configuration and application support.\nPreferred Proficiencies: MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Azure, Azure cost analysis and forecasting, AWS management, enterprise infrastructure and security standards, basic scripting/programming abilities in PowerShell, VBScript, RoboFTP, or similar.\nPreferred hardware or system support certifications: MCP, A+, Network+, or similar.\nExperience with Windows Server configuration, implementation, and support.\nExperience with Microsoft .Net development and T-SQL a plus.\nDemonstrated understanding of site-to-site and client/session-based VPN connectivity.\nExperience managing and performing assigned projects through design, testing, implementation, and completion phases, including milestone planning, reporting, and buffer management.\nAbility to interface with local and remote staff and management to determine IT needs of Covenir.\nAbility to analyze and effectively communicate needs of Covenir offices and remote workers to management.\nAdvanced problem solving and analytical skills with networking, hardware, and software systems.\nFamiliarity with enterprise infrastructure and security standards.\nFriendly and professional attitude, with a dedication to providing excellent end-user service.\nStrong ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both written and verbally, with all levels of users and management.\nAbility to reason logically and provide intelligent, well-constructed, and tailored solutions.\nStrong work ethic and the ability to deliver effective solutions under deadlines.\nAvailability to be ‘on call’ or work after hours as required.\nAbility to lift up to 50
